I've only read a few from Mark Waid. The Gauntlet : Electro and Superman Birthright I believe. How does this compare?

I was talking to Picard discussing whether or not Peter having a sister is canon or not. Is she?

I never finished the Sinister Six novels, so IDK if it turns out that Pity (the name of his supposed sister), is actually his sister or not. But those books ARE canon.

IDK if The Family Business is canon or not.

Major Spoilers Below!!!!

She wasn't.
This
one is
.... Though I do not like the implication that
Richard or Mary
had
her
out of
wedlock
and is only a
half sister
.

Let's see if the spoilers done like this make you more tempted to read them....
*evil laugh*

Aloha,
Didn't read it yet, plan to this evening. One thing to point out.
Very few people who actually live in Hawaii, would be caught DEAD in that horrible red so called Hawaiian shirt(tent) that Kingpin is wearing.:wow:

I've got 2 "Hawai'ian Style" shirts.
I wear them once in a while, but never buttoned and always with another shirt underneath.
I lived in Hawai'i, but I'm not a native Hawai'ian
I miss it there. I'm really wanting to go back but lack the funds to do so. And right now I can't work so I'm stuck here...

Aloha,
I remember that you lived on Oahu a while back. Were you in school or under contract with a company at that time? It's not that Hawaiian shirts are bad just that ugly red one the Kingpin is wearing.

I was working Security.
I was there for 10 months.
I wish I never left.

When my family can save enough cash to go stay at Donald's house (we won't mind the puppies), I'm gonna wear one of those shirts EVERY day that I'm there...lol

Just finished reading it. I guess my only real criticism is that it was too short. I thought it was a very good graphic novel. Keep 'em coming.

Yeah, I'd say Peter is written like an adult. I don't know exactly when this takes place or if even exists within the 616 timeline, but I'd assume he is in his early 20s at this point.

if marvel does better with their animated movies then hopefully we'll see this one soon:) if it's in that crappy marvel animated universe then it'd sure to blow.

I hope they continue to make more standalone Spider-Man graphic novels. Although I prefer to have a continues series of issues, it's nice to get a one-shot storyline once in a while. Also makes it easier for newcomers to pick up a single story and read that.

By animated movies do you mean motion comics? The trailer for this graphic novel was actually a motion comic so we could get the full thing on DVD at some point.

not motion comics. oh please no for the love of GOD! i despise motion comics! they break the imagination of movements. you know when you read the comics you picture their movements as fluid as the ones in the cartoons, cgi movies, and animated series. motion comics break destroy the creativity. i'd rather have them animated
