Pretty much. Though I thought that was enough confirmation that the movie would take place in winter hence the December release? Unless there's some sort of time skip and/or that's one of the ending scenes.

On a different note, I've come across some interesting SM3 information from the same Reddit scooper that's been leaking legitimate Wandavision plot points, compiled by this user on the MCU spoiler subreddit. Putting it in spoiler tags just to be safe, so make of this what you will:

  • Spider-Man 3 is a Spider-Verse movie because of the events of Wandavision.
  • Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will appear. Tom Holland lied about them not appearing. (This is currently backed up by multiple reliable scoopers like Charles Murphy and Skyler Shuler, but I will not add it to the "proven true" section until further notice.)
  • Jamie Foxx as Electro is a different and fresh take on the character in the MCU timeline. This applies to many other characters as well. It is explained with the multiverse.
  • There are more unrevealed villains.
  • The villains are redesigned.

Regarding
the unrevealed villains, I still think it's fair to guess that Doc Ock and Electro are the main threats while the others are side villains.

Still hoping for Master Planner Ock to be a thing, especially since from what SookieIsMine84 is claiming here, he's not Raimi Ock but an alternate one altogether. Whether he's an MCU version or from another universe we have yet to see.

Master Planner Doctor Octopus would be awesome, and I'm confident that Alfred Molina can play a far less sympathetic version of the character without sacrificing the depth that made the SM2 version so iconic.

It probably means nothing, but Hot Toys released images from their FFH Spidey figure in the red & black suit, which we know is in this new film (with some changes), and they posted photos of all 3 Spider-Men together. I’d think nothing of it except for the fact that they took down those photos as quickly as they put them up.

Yeah we were talking about it earlier.

I'm assuming one of two things.

The page replied to user above a while back in the thread. There's a screenshot. HotToys stated these pictures are just fan images based on recent SM3 rumors.

My assumption though is this is a lie. The amount of accidental leaks of the three Spider-Men is too much to ignore at this point. I'm assuming he thought he had a green light to tease some new merch.

But was told otherwise, if my hunch is.right we'll be seeing a lot more of this. We see reputable sources like Atlanta Filming and others. Even actors themselves barely able to keep their mouths shut due to excitement.

This is big, and obviously everyone who knows is hype. But the embargo makes it impossible to reveal any information until the official word from Marvel themselves.

To Long Didnt Read:

This is likely just a mistake on the pages part. But it could just be another accidental announcement. Similar to Jamie Foxx's post.

So, I checked the photographer's Facebook page to see if the pics were still up and they're no longer there (though oddly enough, they're still showing on this thread two pages back). Peculiar, though he could have just deleted them to prevent people from getting the wrong idea.

I still stand by what I posted earlier about them.

I don't know why, but I feel like there's an incoming announcement this week. I'm more than likely wrong though.

So again the question is.
Will Toby and Andrew be different versions too?

That same leaker says

"Marvel is going to pick and choose who they like and multiverse them in however they want."

Im starting to think JJ will actually be from the multiverse too.

Again, still hoping that's not the case, otherwise what would be the point of bringing them back to play versions that the fanbase wouldn't be attached and the movie would have to waste screentime establishing them which could be used for more important characters or plot points? I've also felt no indication that FFH's Jonah Jameson is multiverse, he could just be the MCU one and they brought JK Simmons in because he's so beloved in the role.

Starting to sound like a broken record with all these repetitive discussions lol

Too coincidental. its said Wandavision ends where Far From Home ends. and suddenly JK Simmons appears as JJ. and then we jump into the multiverse stuff with other actors ALSO returning as alternative versions?

The timing for it is way to coincidental

Sorry man, but I'm still going to have to completely disagree with you on this unless/until something substantial comes along to confirm it.

If he had appeared much earlier. then perhaps. but right spot on next door to the multiverse films... i dunno. certainly not enough time to set him apart from any of the other returning actors.

I'm guessing Tobey and Andrew are playing "soft cannon" version of their characters. All they'll convey other than being Spider-Man...

• Tobey is married to MJ (seasoned, but has kept his Hope)

• Andrew lost his Gwen (dark, maybe has come too close to going over his Responsibility line)

We are gonna have to see how Marvel treat

Evan Peters as Quicksilver. Whose from the FOXverse.

To have some idea how far they will go.

My concern is that in order to free up needing to address continuity in what could end up fairly small roles, they will kinda blank slate them abit. with the multiverse excuse to explain small inconsistencies they ain't willing to address, while also adding recognisable elements whenever they feel like.

And given the direction they seem to be going where its not just the Spider-man actors they are bringing back. i could in a way understand the need to free up elements, but i dunno.

If they are in it, I'd be fine with this. There wouldn't need to be any overt references to the Raimi and Webb films, just them still being the same versions and retaining the same personality with maybe their own mini-arcs would be enough for me.

I'd be fine with this tbh.

At most... for post-film cannon universe continuity, they'll mention...

• Tobey lost his Aunt May
(seeing Tomei will make him sad, ala Spider-Verse / Ultimate Comics)
• Andrew's Aunt May has been his only saving grace through the hard times
(he'll drive home to Holland that Aunt May is "their" everything, always listen/trust to her)

I'm fairly confident it'll be Raimiverse Peter and ASM Peter. We'll learn what they've been up through dialogue.

As far as the villains, if Doc Ock is from another dimension, I hope it is a master Planner Ock that has succeeded in killing Spider-Man. A scene with Tobey pleading with him the same way he was able to prior just to get swatted away would be delightful. As far as unrevealed villains, I think the Sinister Six is in play. Wouldn't be surprised to see Vulture and Mysterio return along with a full Shocker and Scorpion. That would be a formidable Six with no need for backstory on any of them.

...but nothing we haven't before seen in Spider-Men/Spider-Verse (Ultimate Comics) or Into The Spider-Verse [film].

Id think its best to address their appearances in a more positive way. especially since its hard to say what kind of role they have. you don't want to get into a downer to their lives. thats not much of a way to reunite with them lol

I mean i know they did it with Spiderverse but... hmm... it might be easier not to address the fate of Aunt May.
