It feels too early for Venom to appear as well, but I would be up for that when it happens. I found the symbiote hilarious in the film
Forcing VENOM into SPIDER-MAN 3 is what wrecked that movie - hope they are not making the same mistake twice...

I didn’t watch Venom till a long time after it came out because the trailers made it look so dumb. There’s very little right with the film but I can laugh at the symbiote and what it does and says all day long, absolutely cracks me up.Venom had a mess of a script, but Tom Hardy and the symbiote were hilarious. It is a stupid as heck but fun movie.

He already had Stark as a mentor, whether people liked that or not. I don’t see why he needs multiple mentors, especially as the death of Stark should be the impetus to put anything he learned from him (including life lessons) to good use.Exactly. I understand wanting Spidey to feel connected to the MCU after 5 movies by himself, but he's right, he doesn't need a mentor.
Would be cool to see Tobey as a grizzled looking Peter. The dude can grow a beard that looks good.
I always like that Uncle Ben was so important to Peter, and that when he died, the kid was forced to grow up fast while using the lessons/principles Ben had taught him. That would be diluted with yet another mentor and different lessons, also meaning he can still depend on the new adult rather than having to fully face the great responsibility that has always burdened/defined Peter. He has mentors because he is a teenager, and they want to make sure we know he is just a teenager and needs to learn stuff. they already have enough adult heroes in the MCU, so then if you have a kid superhero you can use him abit differently to highlight him being just a kid.
It reminds me of the Ultimate Spider-man cartoon marvel made.
I mean, I'd still like that. Your older self (or a version of it) is going to be a great teacher. It will be irony if the first time we hear With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility in the MCU, it likely will be said by Tobey Maguire Spider-Man.
The only mentor I'd accept for Spider-ManI mean, I'd still like that. Your older self (or a version of it) is going to be a great teacher.
I would cry.It will be irony if the first time we hear With Great Power Comes Great Responsibility in the MCU, it likely will be said by Tobey Maguire Spider-Man.
I would cry harder. This may be a little cringe but kinda sweet at the same time.
