Pretty much. MCU Peter Parker is smarter, better-liked, better-looking, less nerdy, and taller than MCU Flash Thompson, looks like he could easily beat him up without superpowers, and has zero discernible reason to care what Flash thinks about him.

They really dropped the ball with Revelori's Flash. Yes, maybe people don't bully others in school in the same way as before, but it will always still be a problem anywhere. And what actual bullying does this Flash do? To be able to bully someone even on social media, he needs to be popular in the first place, and lots of people even at school would need to be following him, which they don't seem to be at all.

He's just the annoying weaselly kid at school that no-one likes but everyone beats up. Does he even look like he could beat up ANY of Peter's friends, male or female? He's exactly like the kind of kid that Garfield's Peter would've been defending at the start of ASM where he had to resort to calling Flash "Eugene".

I haven't watched The Devil All The Time yet because I know I'm going to see things from Holland in it that I want out of his Peter and it's going to annoy me.

All of the characters in MCU's Spider-Man are paper-thin and uninteresting. Including Peter himself.

MJ could totally beat him up.

If you'd be frustrated by watching Holland demonstrate that he'd be fully capable of playing a tougher, angstier Peter with a chip on his shoulder who can be edgy and angry and display, ya know, a full range of emotions, then yea, it'll probably frustrate you.

Flash couldn't do anything to Ned just from sheer mass difference alone.

But yea, Betty could probably take him.

It's really a sad day when this Flash is the weediest kid in school and we can't even think of a single person who couldn't take him out.

Revolori's Ned doesn't come across like he's ever been in any kind of physical altercation in his life apart from having someone like MJ have enough of his crap one day and just haul off and slap the **** out of him. He would have no clue how to even react if someone of either gender had it and just physically attacked him.

Since there are some multiverse shenanigans going on, I actually do hope that Flash from one of the other films gets the chance to bully Revolori's Flash. Probably it won't be a good look though if Joe Mangianello is holding him up by one leg, given how much older and more muscular he is.

Lol even with all its faults TASM definitely had a better Flash Thompson than the one we got in the MCU. The dude might have looked 30, but he spot on with his performance and you even got a little character arc with him which was totally unexpected, so I guess I have to give TASM more credit than I have in the past, because at least they managed to get some things right.

Revolori's Flash Thompson is like the most unthreatening bully ever and I never understood why Holland's Peter Parker stands for it when he can just rip his wimpy ass apart in a second. That kind of weak, lazy writing really bothers me in these Sony/MCU Spider-Man films and what makes it even worse is that they just think we are supposed to accept it with no questions asked as if they are not even trying to do better.

There's something screwy when Peter Parker is more physically imposing than Flash Thompson is. And it's not even a matter of Tom Holland being some big jock dude which he isn't, he looks appropriate for Peter, it's just how freaking puny Flash is. He's like Opposite Day Flash Thompson.

And I know the filmmakers said they wanted him to be a revamped, "modernized" updated take on Flash where he's a verbal bully as opposed to a stereotypical big physically imposing one (though that kind of bully they seem to think is "outdated" definitely still exists, hell even Tom Holland himself has talked about getting slapped around in school for being a ballet dancer), but even coming at it from that angle, the execution isn't there.

The thing is that Revelori Flash isn't even a verbal bully because Peter doesn't even feel intimidated by him or that Flash makes his life miserable. It's more like Peter just humours him and thinks "at least let him have that fantasy in his mind that he's actually affecting anyone because he's so pathetic and needs some joy in his life."

Maybe the MCU Flash can become a secret American agent in SM3 and then get shot in a foreign country on a failed op in the opening 10 mins of the movie?? Maybe that’ll work!

Another HUGE problem with MCU Spidey is the supporting cast in general. Awful all the way around.

Iron Man had the best romance in the MCU with Pepper. Had Happy, Rhodey. All solid characters themselves.

Cap had Agent Carter, Bucky, Sam, Widow, Fury...Even Tommy Lee Jones' character was fun.

Thor's biggest problem was the lack of development they gave Lady Sif and the Warriors 3. I will admit that Portman, Dennings and Skarsgaard could have been better but at least they're three really good actors.

Doctor Strange still had Mordo and the Ancient One.

Ant-Man has a really solid supporting cast as well. Michael Douglas, the three wombats are fun, especially Luis. Hope is fun too.

They really dropped the ball with Spidey's supporting cast. The only positive is how good Vulture and Mysterio have been.

I actually liked the whole cast in TASM.
Me too. I would have liked someone else for Dr Connors though. I know Fassbender was up for the role, but I wouldn't have liked him in the role either.

Dr Connors seemed like a villain even without becoming the Lizard. And he was just a generic lizard instead of something more distinctive like in the comics with the purple pants and labcoat.

I didn't mind him too much, but considering Lizard is one of my favorite Spider-Man villains, they really dropped the ball.

I still think they should have had Peter in college working as an assistant to Dr Connors, where he meets Gwen. Making the dynamic between Peter and Connors work better and even focusing on his family.

So, how reliable is FandomWire? They're claiming that tobey and Andrew are a done deal now.

Spider-Man 3: Tobey Maguire & Andrew Garfield Signed On (EXCLUSIVE) - FandomWire
I have no idea how reliable they are, they tweeted a bunch of other scoops they had earlier this year for reference (not sure if they really had em or are just buttering up their resume). I'd imagine something like this would have a lot more sources chomping at the bit to get it out to the public.

What they say about Jamie Foxx being the same Electro is something I could see, just the same but not blue anymore is always possible if he's gotten better control of his powers somehow. Also Electro spin-off movie sounds like Sony lmao.
