So on that shot where SM is in his black suit fighting Electro on the electrical power lines he has a phone strapped to his chest on a face-time call with MJ and Ned.

I don't think any of the villains will be developed. I don't think they are involved to be developed.

Watched the trailer, this time with the wife. Same thoughts. It's a single. Not a home run. I am expecting a movie about Homecoming and Far From Home quality. Not elite MCU

I think it's worth going back and looking at something like the Endgame trailer, and seeing how little they actually revealed in that. Now imagine having to advertise a film like that without the advantage of a Part 1 film leading up to it (and arguably a whole bunch of movies contributing to it too)

I think if this movie is as ambitious as they're claiming, this was always going to be a very, very difficult film to market with a trailer without blowing all the best surprises and moments.

So I had to unfortunately watching this on my phone cause I was out running errands lol. As far as my thoughts, not the greatest trailer but I liked it for the most part. I do agree about it being a bit disjointed and I wish there was some big surprise at the end instead of "DC Crisis sky" stuff. But while I was a bit underwhelmed, still excited to see it.

I really feel like more Green Goblin would had made this a home run. We saw Ock last trailer, so seeing him dominate this one too was underwhelming. This one needed the Goblin

Agreed. While my expectations for seeing Tobey and Andrew were low, I was totally hoping to see a spotlight on Goblin in this trailer. That's probably the biggest thing I was disappointed with.

It's odd because he is in the trailer, so it isn't like they're hiding him either. Why not emphasize him more?

I’m very interested in seeing what the deal is with the Integrated suit. Does Peter make the improvements himself or does he Stark it up?

I’d like to believe that, with what they’re setting up, it’s the former.

Wait, the movie comes out 2 days early in the UK? For reals? :funny:

This.

I would have loved to see him. Makes absolutely no sense why they didn't show him. Its so weird that while I feel the first trailer really hit the mark...I felt like this one missed it. It was decent. Maybe I will like it more as I watch it again but it was just all over the pace. Have Dafoe could have really saved it. Hell, how about not showing any green gobin and saving him for the absolute ending sequence in the same way they did with Ock for the first trailer...

Here's the thing: They're not elite MCU because there is no such thing as elite MCU. These movies, at their best, have been fun, well-acted, and (mostly) well-written little diversions. Nothing on the level of the very best the superhero film genre has to offer, e.g. Batman Returns and Spider-Man 2. As much as I enjoy most of them, I wouldn't consider any of them stone classics.

Their interactions with Ock seem to be plentiful and perhaps less spoilery then Gobby.

Eh, agree to disagree here. The MCU has a few gems.

I've seen Ragnarok, Black Panther, the Winter Soldier, Civil War and Endgame. I fundamentally disagree with your premise. But hey, I'd take all the other Spidey flicks over Spidey 2. It's all opinion at the end of the day.
