Comics Spider-Man The Icon

Discovered this today through the Spiderfan mailer, so some of you guys will know of it already.
For those to whom this is news,- check it out b1tches!-

A new 320 page volume on the story of Spidey exploring his various incarnations through different media, the comics, the creators,- plus it also promises to contain rare vintage photos of Spidey collectibles. !

Since there are already a few similar books available- The Ultimate Guide, the encyclopedia and Spidey Comic Creators, it will be interesting to see if this book hosts enough new content to validate it's creation.

Well anyway, I'm buying.. who else is?

I got mine this week, and i have to say that it is a MUST for the hardcore Spidey fan!

It covers EVERYTHING from the past 40 plus years; The Comics, the toons, the tv show, the movies, and tons of merchandise and collectibles.

A wonderful addition to ANY Spidey fans collection.

Right now Amazion is selling it for $39.06 and Bud Plant sells the limited Stan Lee signed delux edition for $100. I saved bigtime on the Omnibus but I may have to go for the delux with this one. Let's all do a search for the cheapest price for the delux. I think $39.06 is the cheapest we'll find for the regular.

I havent read it all yet, but i'd say it's all relatively new. If you want, just wait a bit and occasionally check out the Newsarama link above...they're posting exerpts and photos every so often, and that should give you a good idea of the content...

I got the book for my birthday and it's awesome! I reccomend it to anybody who doesn't have it. It's a must have for all Spidey fans.


By the way, my birthday was November 7th and my birthday dinner (which is where I got the presents, including the book) was November 9th.
