He was in a suit for the promotional pictures, same with Angel and he doesnt wear one in the film.

all good points man....but both the interviewer and Patrick Stewart saw the movie in full when this interview took place man. And he says what about Scott???....who gets vaporized in the beginning. they never show his body?.....so its just a given now. Sorry to kill ur positive outlook

Ending 1 is probobly Xavier in another body. While ending 2 is Magneto playing chess. They probobly combined both and put Xavier's after the credits. I guess the third ending would be Wolverine leaving. But since the Wolverine movie is a prequel it wasn't needed.

That's pretty cool to know, would have loved to seen that scene

Movie being filmed already might help.

Cyclops is dead in X-3. Doesn't mean forever. It seems Ratner himself wasn't overly fond of the idea so more than likely he's already planning something.

I guess if there's an X4 we'll know. I actually read a review that said James was a weaker performer. I think his character was written weak and poorly at that, but take a look at his body of work and you'll see how good he is.

I really hope this isn't the end of Jimmy and Cyclops in the X-Men films. And if it is, then there really shouldn't be anymore.

Why is Magneto still alive? His arc has played out. Seriously! And transferring consciousness is just such a ridiculous theory to begin with and even at that, the body wouldn't be Patrick Stewart in X4, so what's the point?

And I still think that "we never really knwo what happens to him, we can only assume..." suggests they may be leaving the door open for a return in X4.

All I know is you can't have a true X-Men movie without Cyclops. If Marsden isn't in X4, it will suck!

Because as you can tell from the interview Patrick was very open about everything X3. He's friends with both Marsden and Mckellen and he only seemed to know about the chess scene that McKellen filmed in London (just last month BTW). He really seems to think that Scott's dead even though you don't see a body.

I think Marsden shot all his 3/4 scenes in September and never returned.All the cast were spotted in Vancouver or London for the extra shooting. Marsden never was. I think Simon Kinberg was even surprised when people talked about Marsden coming back for extra filming.

Yes, but it's a lazy unimaginative excuse to minimalize Cyclops' role as much as they did and *try* to avoid a violent backlash by pulling the "but you don't see a body!" card.

Edit: I think that's actually more insulting than if we had seem him turned to ash. At least that would have given us a glimpse as to how Cyclops went out, as a fighter or a helpless nobody. As it seems to be it makes his death look as underserving of coverage.

I know. But I don't want my hopes up. They have no motive hiding back a surprise ending creating negetive buzz while doing so.

good to know im not the only one. Maybe we are terribly wrong, but at least we never give our hopes of a different movie away and live some days of hope

3 ending's which one will be in the thearatical version?? but i guess one is with magneto and after credit's is with Xavier but i reaily hope they actualy deleted from the movie and just have it as altenative ending in the dvd, Because Fox and the writer's said they read the boards of x-men on Superhero hype and other site's and everyone seem's to hate it exept the guy who interviewd Stewart. so maybe they can somehow just delete in the final cut and just have magneto in the end, maybe they did had logan going -away again like x1 and going to a bar and they just did it incase Wolveriene spin-off was a sequel but now that it will be a prequel they think it isint needed and i hope is not in because i want logan in the team in the end. The ending with stewart it make's scence for a big superhero movie like x-men and is supernatural and sci-fi stuff with fantazy but if there is a x4 it would be hard to explain his return when stewart reaily's want's to return for another film, so why mess it up just have magneto(which also suck's because the whole movie story beside's phonix is about the cure and so why have two cure dart's into mag if he he has his power's, confuse's people , just have him get hurt and run away and can be good return ,Magneto is needed since they killed good bad guy's i nthe movie's unless somehow sabretooh,toad,Juggernaut wasent dead and they all hide and somehow return together along new guy's like Bloob????? and no female villan's? jean killed them and now she supsot to die?? she should just be injured after being staped by Logan, she coudlve just ran away and hide with magneto

I think Patrick has always had loose lips. In every movie he's revealed more in interviews than the rest of the cast. So it doesn't seem strange to me at all.
