I TRY and equal out myself with some positivety..even though it doesn't always work;)

So my question to you is, when have you done or said something that you felt made a difference "on the spot". Not because you planned it...you just did it. IE no "rehersal".

My first thought?? Living in South America you see lots of poverty (mind you I'm a white Canadian so maybe it affected me more), but I thought of when I gave money to people on the streets. But na....too general.

Next thought? I was trying to stick up for a buddy, and STOP a fight at a bar when his buddy stepped in and told them they should fight...so I threw him through a door... As you can see even my first two memories weren't drastically "kind"

So has anyone done something truely "sacrifical"? And buying a beer for a broad doesn't count..something that is genuine:)

I'll figure something out that I've done myself..I guess I'm just not as balanced as I hoped;)

This girl asked everyone for a lap dance and everyone turned her down then I nodded and accepted her offer.

"Nobel Prize Otto!"

Kindness is only smacking a woman once for putting more than two sugars in my tea.

I once while in DC just gave 5 homeless people a hundred dollars each. And brought each of them a meal at Burger King for no reason.

Crazy fool!

Not crazy just being nice. I normally when I am in DC just carry around $200 just to give to the homeless my wife doesn't see why I do it. I don't know I just look at it as how would I feel if it was me out there.

Where's my $200?

picked up some litter on the pavement.

found £10 on the street and gave it to a friend.

made conversation with a dude in a bar who seemed to be on his lonesome.

there are plenty of everyday things i tend to do. There arent many events i plan so far in advance.

you're not supposed to give the homeless money. it's like feeding the squirrels, only instead of becoming bold and walking up to humans looking for more (homeless do that anyway), they just get more and more homeless and smelly cuz all they're spending your money on is beer. :down

Monday I was on my lunch break and i happened to look across the street and I see a blind lady attempting to cross the street. Mind you i'm not the only person watching her at least 10 people saw her and a few even stopped and snickered at her.So I ran across the street to help her cross to the other side... i felt really good helping her

It's nothing much but I remember kind big people from when I was little so maybe they will remember when they are grown

That sounds sooooo wrong!

I've helped people find where they are going in the subway system.

I've listened to old people chat away with no purpose for ages.

I've given money to "buskers" (street players).

I was a tally counter for one of the Hype Awards.

I was a Hype mentor.

I sometimes let people in front of me when I'm driving, but I have to be feeling super generous that day. If they drive slow after I allow them passage they will suffer the consequences. :cmad:

You're a pretty generous guy. . . what w/ funding the '40 oz' supply for the homeless folks who irrevocably went and spent it on cheap boos and a spooning session from a night treat.:o

It's still a nice gesture though. You're a better man than me. When I go into DC, I usually ignore the homeless.

Spur of the moment kindness for me is rarely generated towards people who I'm not familiar with. If a close friend asks to borrow money, I'll probably do it; If they want to crash at my place as opposed to driving home inebriated: sure, grab the spare. Simple stuff like that. I don't really go out of my way to do that sort of stuff, but 'thumbs up' to the people who do.
