Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Previews and Reviews I've read so far are saying that it's a bit of a let-down, but I think short of it bieng a catastrophe, i'll still want it... Time for Ninja gaiden and Frontlines to go back to the shops :p

Hopefully this is the game that makes me stop playing cod4 multiplayer.

I actually haven't seen any negative previews and I haven't seen any reviews. I've actually seen one review at some forums that was from a WWE magazine (weird, I know) and they gave it a 8/10.

Could you provide any link to those previews/reviews?

Demo confirmed for this Thursday, August 21st!!!

*sigh* The date just reminds me of school. But having something to look forward to on the xblm is cool.

So where's all this new gameplay footage that was meant to have been shown??

Looks cool! Hardly the new "never before seen gameplay footage" we were promised though. Can't wait for the demo anyway.

Gameplay doesn't look that fun actually :csad:

I think it looks fun, but they made the demo too easy (it's footage from the demo). They've probably set the demo on easy and they've also given you Force powers and combos that you normally would not have at that point of the game, since this is actually the first level as the apprentice.

The games looking pretty cool. I really hope the enemies are smarter and you can actually block the laser beams if you want to.

Yeah thats what i meant. Its weird that he looks so different in each game.

I'm really getting burnt out on quicktime button sequences. I wanna actually do all of the cool stuff. The quicktime events really take the control away from you.

This game launches on my birthday, I'm overly excited about it. After the mess that is The Clone Wars (read the book, it's MUCH better...and also listen to John Williams score while reading it) it will be good to forget about it with this game, which seems to have a good story and great sound track.

Uh, wouldnt that be the opposite??? Instead of just watching a cutscene, you'll actually be able to participate in said cut scenes with the OTE's. So, they actually give you control you wouldnt otherwise have.

Leymans terms please?

Quicktime event (or QTE) basically means "press the button now or something bad will happen!" It's a technique for making cutscenes more interactive that's becoming increasingly popular these days. If you've ever played the game "Dragon's Lair," that's basically how they work.

Yea and if implemented right, they can be really fun. God of War anyone??
