Star Wars

Not to sound like a snob, but the last time I checked, movies are about the film maker's imagination. :o

Yes, and part of that is triggering the audience's imagination. Because if the audience don't use their imagination, and suspend disbelief, then they're just watching actors on sets.

Tell me, which movie had better battles: 300, where we see it all in it's gory goodness, or Alexander, where we essentially have a giant dust cloud with lots of sword sounds, therefore requiring more of our imagination?

Lucas is a hack.

When he was making the PT, he would always claim Star Wars is about and has always been about Anakin Skywalker and after he finishes Episode III, he's finish with Star Wars...now that the films are over, he decides to make 2 tv shows, one of which will have nothing to do with Anakin.

That's only one of many things that make him a hack. Not even counting his skills at directing and screenwriting.

Why didn't we get this version of ROTJ?!

(Some language and innuendos.)

Chewbaccanator and mistreatment of wookiees FTW!

I'm pretty much new to this Star Wars stuff. Just watched all 6 like 2 weeks ago for the first time. I was just wanted to ask the question if anyone actually felt bad for Anakin? All my friends who are in love with these movies said they didn't, but I felt really bad for him. He is badass though.

I didn't.
I actually think him yelling in agonizing pain in ROTS is funny.

The scene where he burns and where he finally becomes Darth Vader are quite disturbing actually. It was what I hoped for.
I felt bad for him, but also happy for him when he finally died. He managed to redeem himself for all of the bad things he had down in his life and created a whole new galaxy.

the star wars made for tv movies better be good damnit!

Damnit! they Better!

I haven't seen Alexander so I can't tell you.

However, I have seen Jaws and I know it's much more effective that Spielberg keeps the shark hidden most of the film, therefore requiring more of our imagination.

I think the first season will kick ass... then it will turn into the most cheezy and sh:ttiest thing you have ever witnessed from Star Wars once the shows start to wear thin by season 2... that's my worst fear. It should be an eight part summer mini series... two hours each... and leave it at that... 20 million per episode... that would sell.

i watched the first as a whole for the first itme in a WHILE-since before episode 1 came out; when i saw it in theater in 1997 :wow: -and honestly it wasnt that great.

I mean ok the fx were good, the action was good for there was...but i mean, lukes aunt n uncle whop hes lived with his whole life he finds em burning as corpses....but he doesnt cry....hes not mad...he just goes back to kenobi and wants to leave, leaving me going "ummmmmmmm yeah ok thats how hed react in real life:whatever: " then when kenobi dies you get some ****ty acting like " i cant believe hes gone" yeah kid the guy youve known for the last 3 hours is gone omg :o "

the story, plot, and look all worked but there ssome cringable dialogue and delivery, look forward to watching enmpire strikes back tonight and seeing my boi lando

Bwahaha!

So is anyone excited for the new Star Wars video game? It looks really awesome.

Yeah, I love the trailer. And the cover art for it looks great. It seems Darth will end up facing his apprentice.

I love Star Wars because it's Star Wars. But to be honest, the first(ep 4) doesn't seem to get past decent to me. Back in the 70s I'm sure it was amazing, but there's nothing really amazing about it any more. Vader isn't even that much of a pimp in Ep 4 as compared to 5.

I'm looking forward to it coming out, but I would be more excited if a Battle Front 3 was coming out soon.
