Is everyone agreed that a SW tv series w/o Jedi's as regulars would be a let down?

Well one can never rule out them showing a jedi or two on the run. If they do this, i would love for the jedi to be Quinlan Vos http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Quinlan_Vos :woot:

If the rumor I heard a year or two ago is true, Lucas is planning on a complete run of around 100 eps. Plenty of time to have literally dozens of small storylines. Several Jedi that managed to escape Order 66, Boba and the rest of the bounty hunters rising during the Dark Times, perhaps ocassionally visiting Luke growing up on Tatooine, a glimpse of Vader every so often, maybe even an episode or two with Galen Marek.

In other words, I wanna see how the galaxy as a whole was affected by the reign of the Empire. Really show us why the perioid was known as "The Dark Times".

Karen Traviss is my favorite. I can't get enough of her stuff... "Revelation" was my favorite book in the Legacy series.

Ditto. Her Republic Commando series is my favorite book series ever. I'm currently reading the 4th one.

I agree completely. I'm sure we'll see some Jedis but there should be some focus on ordinary people too. Those storylines you listed sound awesome.

For those who aren't familiar with the creator, he is the guy who does the Angry Video Game Nerd (reviews bad, retro games often containing profanity-laden rants). He's really into film and his review (more like a reflection) on the movies is pretty interesting. I think he brings up a good question about the order you'd show the movies to someone who has never seen them.

Very good Review....i think he nails it Pretty much.

I would show my Kids the OT First because of the "I am your Father" line.

Yeah, i hope it's something like this. It would be nice for them to show a bit of Owen and Beru, and maybe we find out why Owen dislikes Obi-Wan so much... or does he really? i always wondered if he just said what he said to Luke to keep him from looking for Kenobi, and not because he disliked Obi as much as we've always thought.

I never thought he disliked him , I just thought he didn't want him to take Anakin's path

Am I the only one that thinks doing a live action series is a bad, bad idea??

For some reason ever since i was little, i had the impression Obi-Wan pissed Owen off :hehe:

BlackLanthern: i'm sure that there's other people out there that think it's a bad idea :cwink:

I think Obi was telling Luke the truth (for a change!) when he said Owen didn't want Luke following Kenobi on a "damn fool idealistic crusade" like his father.

Obi did tell the truth but he kind of hid it up. He hints to things but you take it how you want to. You know what I mean?

I love how Ben is vague in ANH, i think that's part of the magic that made me care about this character so much, because i wanted to know more. Sir Alec truly nailed that performance for me, and even after watching the PT and getting some answers, his performance still works :woot: . Kudos to Ewan for expanding on it too, because he elevated that character even more in my list.

Brand new CW episode tonight, with Mace kicking some butt. It looks to be a cool one. And next week, the season ends... damn :(

Soon though we'll get to see this mysterious Cad Bane which I am dying to see. I'm hoping he has some history with Darth Bane

Yeah, it would be really cool if he could be traced to Darth Bane somehow, and quite fitting :woot:

I second that.....Bane has so much potential.....he could become one of the greatest Bad Asses in SW History.

I'm almost done with the 3rd at the moment.

Now does everyone see why I keep saying if more movies are made they should be about Bane and the Rule of Two? :whatever::woot::up:

they will pay 400 to Routh for this?
he is very lucky or they are very dumb.

Right....Storys back in the Days of the Sith War is the Way to go if there will ever be another Trilogy....SW has so much potential and Movies in this Timeline could show all of this potential.

"A fan asked the chances of exploring the KOTOR-era Jedi or the origins of the Sith on TV, and Lucas stated that if the television projects are successful, he would examine the possibility of moving elsewhere in the saga."

Thats what GL answerd in a Interview a few Years ago...so there is still hope we will see something KOTOR related in the future.

What's the episode about tonight?

Conclusion of a pretty decent 3-parter revolving around the Jedi freeing Ryloth from the seps.

My brother and I have been in disagreement about the proper pronunciation of "Twi'Lek" - I say Twy-lek, he says Twee-lek. In last week's episode both were used. :wow:

I find myself saying both...but usually say and want to say you would probably pronounce it Twee-lek...but what do I know, you know?...
