yeah, Dunkin' Donuts is probably a fair comparison. and like X-Chick I don't get what the big deal is. competing franchises do this all the time.

But Dunkin' Donuts and Starbucks aren't really big competitors. Krispy Kreme and Dunkin' Donuts are. I still don't get it.

Yeah, Starbucks and Tim Hortons serve a completely different crowd. A lot of people who go to one wouldn't want to be seen carrying a coffee up from the other.

And both Lowes, though we don't have any of those up here, and Home Depot are big box retailers... it's not like they're crushing the little guy.

Starbucks has good sandwiches.
I've been to Horton's but I think I just had coffee and a doughnut,not much to judge by.

The Coffee is great, and they have great sandwiches too.

But despite Tim Hortons' home grown image... it's still a corporate giant. It just hasn't quite taken over the world the way Starbucks' 5-dollar lattes have.

i'm not, I have like 6 close to me, the nearest tim hortons was about 8 miles away before this one opend up, this ones right by the freeway, i can grab some on my way to school, its more conveniant. Starbucks will put it out of bussiness.
