Starz Original Series - Spartacus: Vengeance

Not really.. it was because the Gladiators rebelled and started slaughtering people. Her and the other slaves had no real choice.

Last season The slave that likes Spartacus (can never remember names) told him he should not do it because they would all be put to death (including the house slaves).

So because the gladiators rebelled and slaughtered everyone, even the house slaves had to run or be put to death. (Ya I know she killed the brat but no one know that).

What I would like to know is how she was caught.. how could she have been identified as a run away slave.

Can you remember why she was even in the Loudus in the first place?

the dude could act for days

Parker ain't too bad either.

She sold herself to slavery to finish paying Varro's debts. I really don't see why she ran away with the other slaves.

...finally got to see the premiere. It was a great episode. I loved seeing Lucretia and the reactions between her and Spartacus & Crixus. It was a little strange seeing Liam and not Andy but I think the new guy will do ok.

Just watched the first ep. Pretty good. The ****e house scene was ...Liam's no Andy but he did o.k.

Illythia was awesome this ep...as usual.

Doctore owning those 3-4 guys FTW!

What was up with Aurelia's "keep away from my son" speech to Spartacus? That caught me by surprise. She became an outlaw because of her own doing.
Really it may sound mean but I am glad she is dead. She is the definition of a woman on PMS IMO. She has so many mood swings it is not funny.

Umm... Spartacus killed her husband (they both would have been dead if he didn't, but that may have been more honorable), and where ever he goes death and destruction follow. I'd want him to stay away from my son, who is safe and sound if he doesn't become involved with the slave rebellion. It's not PMS, it's her being smart.

What happened to the other son who is not Varro's child. They seemed to have dropped him and only discuss Varro's son.

WHOA!!! Huge plot hole right there! The only bio of the character I can find mentions that she's pregnant with Titus' kid, then never mentions it again after she flees to her relatives with her son.

Yeah, her speech was a bit of a surprise; i assume all, including Spartacus, assumed she was going to say "take care of my son"; it made sense though.

Were those random cuts on her forehead or some word actually carved in..?

It said "FUG", which is short for Fugitivus. She was was basically branded with a knife.

I found it as un-necessary to kill off Varros wife the way they did, just like it was unnecessary to kill off that slave girl that Naevia had helped escape in the prequel; the one who was captured and was sentenced to die in the arena in the finale prequel series ep....how does killing either of them off further the plot?

My theory on why they killed off Varro's wife is that it raises the stakes for Spartacus and other rebels, to remind them that any of them could and would die for the uprising against the Romans. I also think they deliberately put her death scene in the end to cap off the episode because it shows that following Spartacus or being associated with him isn't a bed of roses, considering the gruesome way that she died from her injury. As for that slave girl Naevia saved but was killed off at the end, I assume that it was because her character won't return for S2 and her tragic ending is alot more dramatic than a mere escape to freedom.

So now it's all about finding Naevia and raising an army along the way...sounds cool!

In the preview the show Spartacus and co fighting in the arena again, also there was a shot of a woman being crucified. Looked like Mira.......

Saw the second episode last night. I thought it was a little bit better than the first. It was nice to see a little bit of Oenomaus' past and his relationship with Titus.

Is it going to be a running joke that the bald Gaul smells like crap?

I love this show, but i'm getting sick of those overused unnecessary slow motion shots !

I'm fairly interested as to when and how they will be introducing Crassus, and how that will be tied in with Glaba and Illythia. Also, I feel like 'Tiberius' is going to end up being Tony Curtis

They use Phantom cameras which shoots at a very high frame rate. Its designed for slo mo. This is the only show using these cameras full time and they are proud of it so don't expect the slow mo to go away anytime soon. They should certainly cut back on it tho.

The "slow mo" definitely seems to be being used more this season. It needs to be cut back a little.

I also would've liked to see a little more "crazed" Lucretia before she put herself back together again.

Edit: I take that back about Lucretia. I'm just now watching the second episode and it looks like she's still a little off.

perhaps she's not off at all, just a thought.

I don't think she's crazy either. Ashure slipped her a note to tell her he was coming she sacrificed the goat and it looks like she has powers and blessings from the gods. I didn't even think about it til they zoomed in on her clutching the note at the end.
She has a plan and it's not good for anyone but her.
