Well the book, is written by and for african Americans, so the races of the characters are very diverse in nature, either Black or Latino, there are a couple of white characters but only a couple.

ooooh, yeah... well of the 4 main teen characters 2 are white; Richie and Freida as for bad guys, Alva and Hot Streak only come to mind... majorily the supporting characters are black, as the big bang happened in a predominantly "black" neigborhood

I have to agree with that one, I couldn't think of his name though, actually the kid that plays Chris and the kid that plays his friend would be great as Virgil and Richie.

yeah, their characters and relationship are about the same as virgil and richie.

I would really like to see a statick shock movie made, but more than likely it won't happen... I am maybe one of the biggest fans of Static and I'm a starving actor myself, and I've always said that if DC would turn Static into a movie I would be right on it. That's honestly a dream for me, to play as Virgil Hawkins/ Static. Even if I'm not the one to do it I still think it should be made! 100%yes on that one

Well I thinks that if they would make static it would be really big, but I am definitly a huge fan of Black Lightning. I said earlier that I've been trying to get into acting for quite sometime now and to be honest if It would be done I'd rather play as Black Lightning than Static shock. Only because of my age and that I know more about him than I do static and I think that would probably most likey done by DC than Static.

This is made for TV in the likes of Ben 10, Jett Jackson, and Aaron Stone.

static i could see easily working out on a tv show budget, and hell he has a super easy costume too. Only maybe a few certain characters might be a bit tough to do. So they either wouldnt show up, or only be used once in a great while. Though it would all count on what type of budget it has, the network of airing and all that.
