Steam Sales

I bought Batman Arkham City, a small Christmas present to me :awesome:
LA Noir also got my attention but maybe later...
So many games to play...so little time...

A little belated on the post for this for I've been having to much fun with the few games I bought this year. Nothing really interested me, but I did nab a few and one I was waiting for.

1) Shogun 2: I still have the original disks of the first one. =P Loving this one, and this is the one I was waiting for.

2) Orcs Must Die!: I'm having a helluva a blast with this one. Way better than I thought it was going to be.

3) Star Ruler: Kinda fun, actually. Breaks the norm for RTS.

4) Terraria: Everyones already knows about this I would assume.

Then I got a few games for the other half so she has something to do in her spare time.

This isn't a sale per-se but if you pre-order Xenomauts (real Xcom) now, you get access to the current the build and a discounted price as well as the key for when the final builds appears on steam. You will also be able to help them develope it in the same manner as Minecraft, it's community developed.

85% off Killing floor.

Although this lacks the budget of Left4dead (awful voice work) the act of actually shooting things is alot better imo. It also should run on a wide range of machines.
It's basically hoard mod as well decided were to camp on the map than a path like Left4dead.

And I was wondering why there were no more updates.

Dead Space and Dead Space 2 are $5 each.

Metro 2033 is $5 today... if you haven't played it yet, DO IT NOW.

I'm assuming I'm not the only one paying attention to the Steam Summer Sale.

Anyone bought anything?

I had a $50 budget, which shot up to $100, and now I have $3 left. :/

I gave myself a $30 budget, and so far I've got:

Audiosurf
The Binding of Isaac
Europa Universalis III
Gemini Rue
Greed Corp
Penumbra: Black Plague
Penumbra: Overture
Penumbra: Requiem
The Tiny Bang Story
Ys: The Oath in Felghana

I'm so tempted to buy that stupid Railworks game.

Alright, bought Batman Arkham City and all available DLC instead of waiting for the GOTY edition.

It's my first steam sale. I've got a good laptop, and with some the prices...seemed like a low barrier of entry. Since I'm gaming from my laptop, and am mostly a console gamer, I'm not picking up anything like Crysis or something. But man...I understand how some people go nuts and spend a ton of money on these sales, because the prices are really tempting.

Mostly been RPG's and Strategy games. Got Bastion, Freedom Force 1 and 2, Hacker Evolution, Tropico 4 Collection, CIV Collections which brought pretty much everything for all the CIV games except GODS and KINGS.

Pretty sure I'm not done, yet. I might pick up Sim City 4 if that goes on flash sale, and probably Half Life, since it's always been a series I've always wanted to get into.

Pretty good haul. I want to snag Railworks as well, along with the zombies DLC... lol, but I dunno. The only game left on my actual list is Alpha Protocol. On a side note I didn't buy Witcher 2 coz I wanted to support the developers directly and my loyalty paid off. Managed to pick it up for $13 over on GOG. It's cheaper if you buy them together but if you own either one you get the bundled discount.

Snag Binding of Isaac if you haven't already. Tons of replayability even though it relies on a lot of skill and a lot of luck.
