Steven Soderbergh's KIMI.

A tidy little (89min) mystery-thriller pastiche. The homebound protagonist obviously evokes Hitchcock’s Rear Window; and the audio detective work is reminiscent of Coppola’s The Conversation and DePalma’s Blow Out. Kravitz is solo for much of Kimi (a concession to COVID restrictions, presumably) and gets, by far, the most screentime. IOW, she has to carry the movie. I think she did a good job.

Watched this the other day.

Enjoyed it quite a lot. Nice well-paced thriller. Zoe was good as always and liked how the majority of the film took place in the apartment.

Also, this was much better than Soderbergh's other recent film - No Sudden Move (which I found incredibly boring, despite the awesome cast).

This was a pleasant surprise! I love tight, well paced thrillers like this. it got a little over the top B movie ish in the climax but i kind of love how it just embraced it and went a little ridiculous.
