The Naked Gunn in The Superhero Cinematic Civil War Thread - Part 62

Darth: War of the Worlds is this decade's The Room.

Snow: I don't know if anything can be that again. Culture's too fragmented.

Darth: Everyone's watching it.

Snow: Still-

Darth: FC feels like she needs to watch it.

Someone got high watching Unfriended. :o

I know as a Spider-Man fan, I can't complain too much as we've been lucky that the character has looked pretty good in just about every film, but it's kind of crazy how much better these characters and their designs look when you just keep it simple. Like is it really that hard?

I mean just look at Wolverine. Sure, the yellow and blue suit isn't terrible, but that brown and yellow one shown for like 5 seconds was significantly better. These designs all work because of their simplicity. You don't need a panel line to explain every little detail. Wolverine can just have stripes on his suit. Spider-Man can just be a onesie without shoulder chevrons.
My pain as a Flash fan.

“Dolly zoom” my ass!!! :argh:

Forget The Room, this may be the new Birdemic. Eva Longoria, I was just thinking nice things about you for saving John Wick, too.

I love the Rifftrax guys, but damn them for funding 2 more Birdemics. Also, letting his second film see the light of day.

Though, find something to love like James Nguyen loves cars driving.

Sony blamed the basketball suit for below average toy sales and went back with a modified Raimi suit in TASM2. :o

Should have just made some Spider-Man themed basketballs as a tie in :o

Since everyone is asking for it (and I'm procrastinating) I'll drop my ranking of the live-action Spider-man suits:

1. Brand New Day (with the right to move this if it's lacking in the final film)
2. Homecoming (the practical suit is great and the Romita eyes automatically elevate it)
3. ASM 2
4. Raimi suit
5. Red and black Far From Home Suit
6. Symboite Raimi suit
7. ASM Spalding-man suit
8. The weird black and yellow one from that one scene in NWH
9. Homemade suit from CW/Homecoming
8. Iron Spider-suit/whatever was going on at the end of NWH (trash)
9. Night Monkey (this shouldn't' even count)

I can't rank suits lol! In truth, I don't like doing rankings so much at this point cause the differences in the middle or so small and we get to a point where like 75% of the slots are interchangeable minute to minute for me. As of right now, my favorite costume is the final one from NWH. I just wish he had it more in the movie. If I had to pick a least favorite, I hate the Amazing Spalding-Man suit. Just makes me feel like LeBron is coming any moment to dunk Spider-Man's head into a hoop. Looks silly. Also didn't like the Black and Gold one from NWH much either.

The BND suit I am guessing will end up number 1 when I see the movie though

The "inside out" black and gold suit in NWH bothers me because of how stupid the concept is. What do you mean that's what the suit looks like inside out? The wiring would interwoven with the fabric, not just poking prodding Peter's bare skin like that. Also the eyes and web shooters are built in and wouldn't work properly with the gloves being reversed. Such a dumb choice only made to sell more toys. Would've rather we get another proper action scene with Peter in his Red & Black.
