The VRCHat crowd is why I hope this tech never actually exists. I got called the N word by a shirtless Kylo Ren and got called a ****** by the Windows 95 box. VRChat proves that the internet was a mistake.

yup he plays the co founder of the company that developed The Oasis and is friend of the creator of the Oasis.

Just seen the motion posters and the Oasis Avatars look stunning, ILM has delivered visually although one of the posters is a spoiler if you haven't read the book.
