If Hollywood is serious about making this happen at some point...it would seem there's no time like the present.

What do you think the odds are that we'll see anything come of this?

Well don't they already have Disney+, Peacock, Hbo Max, Hulu, NetfliX, Amazon Prime... streaming is already here.

They’re not going to premiere the worldwide blockbusters on streaming if that’s what you’re asking, no.

There’s too much money left on the table to do that, and there’s still a huge audience in theatres for films that call for it.

A film like A Quiet Place doesn’t have the same impact at home as it does in a theatre.

In my opinion, streaming should be handled like a "pay TV window" for theatrical releases. I'm against day and date streaming releases contemporary to the theatrical roll-out. It won't kill people to wait a couple of months if they want to see a movie on their home screens.

Someone in here has told me I "fetishize" the theatrical experience. Maybe. And I'm hella proud of it. Forever a theatrical supporter!
