Summer TV Sucks SOOO Bad....So What Are YOU Watching???

The 4400. Only thing I'm currently watching. Probably add Eureka to that soon.

I just watched and enjoyed the pilot of Burn Notice. I'm also getting into Traveler, but I'm getting waaaaay behind. I don't have time to watch much anyway.

reruns...

if not that, Mythbusters, Man vs Wild, and anything else that catches my eye

If you didn't catch ESPN's live coverage of the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest, you MUST watch the replay that they'll be airing on and off the rest of the week. It's more likely to come on ESPN2 so keep your eyes out because it's worth the watch for the outrageous color commentary alone  :woot:

TV is getting worse and worse. During the last season, I watched 3 series. This summer? Nothing. Spend my time with comics and literature...and Lara Croft (the new Tomb Raider's been occupying much of my time of late...)

 And summer's always a good time to give a few 'new' reads a try!

YES! big brother was SOOOOOOOOOO good. my summer tv blues are over!

I heard on the radio this morning that the audio gets to decide what one of the characters on Big Brother does. Like, they can vote if they want him to manipulate people or hit on a girl or whatever....that's both wrong and INTERESTING.

I've never been a BB fan, but this twist is almost enough to wanna make me tune in. It's a TV first for sure.

Top Chef....SO much better then that show on food network

Entourage

I'm watching futurama, family guy, robot chicken, aqua teen hunger force until heroes comes back.

I finally started watching History Channel's "Ice Road Truckers" yesterday. I had three eps dvr'd. It's pretty entertaining. Again, kind of like Discovery's "Deadliest Catch", but still, I think it's the first series to focus on truckers.

Oh, speaking of history shows (although not History Channel shows), I've been really enjoying Simon Schama's The Power of Art and History Detectives on PBS lately.

i've been watching the world series of pop culture on vh1 lately. i'm a pop culture and trivia junkie, so it's fun to play along. other than that tv sucks balls right now.

Is the World Series of Pop Culture another one of those series where VH1 gets a bunch of celebrities to comment on pop culture junk? Like I Love the '60s/'70s/'80s/every decade in history?

nope. it's teams of average folks who know way too much about pop culture that compete against each other in a bracket tournament. it's on every night this week, i think. there's usually 2 or 3 hour-long episodes on each night. got to vh1's website and check it out. they've got clips from past episodes.

im about to unplug my tv for a day or two when Harry Potter is released.

Because it's impossible to read with the TV there, tempting you?

Sounds like it's not my cup of tea.

I've really gotten into Ice Road Truckers on History Channel. It was a good find for the summer. My cable news intake has also been on the incline.
