Michael Wilbon of ESPN called LeBron James "The Peyton Manning of the NBA."

**** this Saints love fest... Cowboys beat them in their building. Seriously this was probably the best season Cowboys could have had from a fan perspective other than winning the SB. It would have sucked losing in the SB or NFC title game in the fashion the Vikings lost.

I can't imagine how loud the Superdome is going to be when the Saints have their season opener.

Here is the pool (Atlanta, Carolina, Tampa Bay, St. Louis, Seattle, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Minnesota)

PLEASE don't take boring ass Matt Ryan NFL. I'd take Pittsburg. Past two SB winners. Would feel like a SB sequel, rather than an opener. Minnesota if Farve is playing.

You REALLY need to pick a side and stick with it.

I'm sorry Marxie, I couldn't resist.

Wouldn't that make him Jordan?

:hehe:

Lmao at Brady being the LeBron James of the NFL

Yeah. Poor comparison. IDK who he compares to....but its someone really good.

Which is why he fell flat on his face without Wes Welker this year.

Thats not true at all. Welkers role is almost entirely dependent on Randy Moss's presence on the field. The mismatches from the double coverage let Welker get covered by a linebacker any time hs runs a short route...aka every time he runs a route...the secondary is usually so far off that its as if they give Welker catch.

Problem for Welker is, when they get in the red zone, and the defense doesnt back of Moss anymore, Welker doesnt get open and is useless (hence his 5 touchdowns over the past 32 games).

Moss makes the offense click. If he ever misses the game they will be a completely different team. Wes wont be getting at will, our running game would be even worse than it usualyl is...I dont even wanna think about it.

I love Wes-literally-but theres so much talk of how "underrated" he is that he is becoming "overrated".

Bradys poor play without Welker was all on Brady...airmailing Moss open deep a half dozen times vs. Atlanta has nothing to do with Welker.

Brady was just rusty on his middle-to-long passes this season.

Wouldn't that make him Jordan?

Idk, I dont think Brady fits the Jordan comparison, they have different impacts. In the regular season, Peyton is Jordan. Jordan didnt win **** by himself.

Cowboys spend more money than anyone and still choke. Must suck to be one of their fans. :hehe:

It's kind of cool to not really have much of an affiliation to any NFL team. I just enjoy watching the games each week. It's also amusing to watch the car crashes when fanbases blow up after a loss. I know the feeling though. I am a diehard alumnus and fan of Texas Tech University. We've choked and had our fair share of meltdowns over the years. In fact it's pretty much all we've known. :csad: :hehe:

I don't see anything wrong with Matt Ryan. I do agree with you that a game against Pittsburgh or Minnesota(If Favre is playing) would be the best route to take. I personally would like to see Carolina play in the opener since I'm a fan of them.

Dallas beat them in a regular season game that meant nothing to the Saints. You showed them.

Really? Wow, you guys have some low expectations. Hurry up and run Jerry out of town so you guys can cease being jokes who can't even be called a shadow of your former selves.

I thought I'd explained this before. I have always been a Colts fan. The Bengals just happen to be the home town team.

Well maybe the Patriots are Excel's team, but the Saints are his jump on the bandwagon cause they won the Super Bowl team ;)

Dallas needs a new quarterback...and should have kept Terrell Owens. Jerry Jones is fine, hell so is Wade Phillips.

Romo is just way too inconisstent. Its amazing how good Dallas looks when Romo plays well..and how bad they look when he sucks.

And Romo has zero chem with Roy Williams, and Miles Austin had most over achieving season in NFL history.

New QB. Get TO Back. Than theyd be fine. That 2007 was N.A.S.T.Y.

Now we are the Yankees? I mean there is a salary cap. If we spend more it's probably a few million.

Philips is a glorified yes man and as tonight has proven, those types of coaches seldom succeed. As for Jones, he's not fine. He'd be fine if he were just an owner. If he acted more like the Rooney family and realized he is not a GM an allowed the people who actually know what their doing to run his team, he'd be fine. But he doesn't. He continues to micromanage every aspect and until he stops or sells the team, they won't be winning.

I could give a **** less about the Saints...I DO, however, care about the Colts...LOSING...so yeah, atm the Saints are my team because it was either the Saints, or...yeah, you get the point.

Patriots for life brosef

Though I agree, I prefer coaches with alls who dont like *****es, I dont think Wade is that bad. And honestly, Jones was right about the only major issue regarding the team the past few years, and that was T.O.

The folks down there underestimate the impact of the elite wr has, and what the home run hitter at wide out does to dictate defenses. Jones was right in supporting Terrell Owens last season; his only problem was listening to the people around him and letting him go.

They wanna know why Witten was so good in 2006 and 2007; it was because defenses BACK THE **** OFF when Owens is on the field. When Romo ignored Owens in 2008, they moved in...and owned Romo and his boy Jwit.

He is not Al Davis.

I think Wade has done a pretty decent job. Defense keeps getting better. It's Garret and the O-line and Romo's erratic play. I think we will make a run next year. I think the dominance will start shifting back to the NFC. AFC has barely been squeaking by in these SB's anyhow, if not losing outright.

He's just as bad. Jones got one right. Throw enough **** at the wall, something'll stick. Plus one cannot underestimate the negative influence TO had on the locker room. There is no reason to keep around a grumpy old man who causes trouble when focusing on the future.

As for Wade, he's a fine defensive coach, I think he'd make a great DC. But he's not HC material.

I agree Jerry is too involved in the Team operations and I don't really like his attitude either but he at least seems to have the Cowboys' best interests in mind. It could be worse, they could be the Raiders. I'm pretty sure Raiders fans are planning an Al Davis assassination as we speak.

You're missing the point, like most down in Dallas did, and that is the thing they missed in 2008 and 2009 that they understood in 2007.

When Terrell Owens is fed the ball-when the play calling, game plan, ect -center AROUND HIM, two things almost ALWAYS happen.

1. His team scores a lot of points. It is just a simple fact. Undeniable. 2007 cowboys. 2004 Eagles. Best years in San Fran.
2. He is happy. T.O. cried for Tony Romo in 2007.

Folks can say whatever they want about it-dont feed him the ball, it only feeds his ego, he is undeserving, ect. The only thing that matters is winning. The elite wr is THE most valuable position in NFL outside of the *proven* franchise quarterback. T.O. is one of those. Not making him the focal point of that offense in 2008 is what lead to the teams failure, point blank. Not anything else. Nothing.

In 2008, Tony Romo personally stopped feeding Owens the ball, and zeroed in on Jason Witten. And the team acts surprised when their once mighty offenses collapses. Its pathetic. Yeah, Owens handled his busines in the past poorly, and that bit him in the ass in 2008 when his perfectly acceptable actions were spun by the media as "negative influence".

But theyre missing the point.

The so called "negative influence" will not appear AS LONG HE IS GETTING THE BALL...and as long as he is getting the ball...L's wont be appearing in the standing charts either.

That means they should have got him the ****ing ball. Jerry Jones understood this...problem for Dallas is fans nobody else there seemed to outside of T.O. himself.

Anyone know where I can get the post game video... NFL.com is completely down with their vids?

I was never a big sports guy, but I became a fan of the Saints today for one simple reason: They were the first team that I bet on, that actually came through for me. After years of losing, I finally backed a winner. What did I win? A cute girl is cooking me a steak and shrimp dinner. Thank-you Saints. :D

Looks like the Hearts beat the Heads tonight. :D

You can easily run on the Saints D, but their pretty good at defending the pass. Ive seen a couple of Saints game this year, and their D usually has guys walking around the scrimage get ready to blitz, they didn't do too much on 1 and 2 downs, since they were worried about Adrian Peterson. Now against the Colts, they are able to do what is the strength of that team.

Trust me, all week we will be hearing how great Peyton is going to play, and he usual plays great, in his dome.

Or the Hearts and the Heads were the same group of people??? :woot:

WHO DAT!!! WHO DAT SAY GOMIN BEAT THEM SAINTS!!!

....not a damn team....

:woot:  I won a $250 bet and a bottle of wine. I admit I was a bit concerned at the end of the first half.
