As of now 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros have not purchased any ad time. These studios are most likely holding out until the last minute to receive a reduced rate from NBC to fill in the open slots.
Variety is predicting that Fox will choose to promote "Night At The Museum 2", "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", and "Ice Age 3". These predictions I would assume are based on the earnings of previous films of the same franchises.
DB:E is only 3 months away from premiering. The Super Bowl would be the perfect platform to show the domestic trailer (which will hopefully be a more comprehensive, coherent, and polished trailer that will reveal a bit of the plot, hand on hand combat, ki blasts, and much more). If Fox does decide to show the trailer during the Super Bowl that would demonstrate that they have a good amount of confidence about the film.
So do you think that Fox will release the domestic trailer during the Super Bowl? Or will they wait for a later time to release it?
