I can't believe this game doesn't have it's own thread. So, who is looking foward to Mario's latest adventure? :word:

There was one but its since been archived, topics only go back to August.

So do you think Nintendo will save this for next November? Fine tune everything; join the ranks of SMB3, SMW and SM64? Or have a summer release and have Mario Kart as the one of the holiday games?

Hmm.

It's diffcult to say when we should expect this game. It'd be killer to get it either way, though if it's around the same time as Smash Brothers Brawl, it might be hard juggling the two.

Nintendo shouldn't launch new systems without a mario game to go with it...

Haha. Funny. I think the Wii's launch was just fine without Mario. I mean we had Zelda and some other pretty fun games as well.

I think this will be ready by September atleast. I think MP3 is the one that will be delayed to Winter 07.

I think Mario'll be ready for summer. Metroid Prime for the spring and Mario Kart for November like last time:up: Don't know where Smash Bros will show up...One of my predictions will be horribly off though as I bet one of the aforementioned is pushed to '08. What a big year it'd be with Mario, Mario Kart, Metroid, and Smash Bros:eek:

As much as I enjoy a good Mario game, if it's viable (meaning a killer app is still available, such as TP, and the game could benefit from more develoment time) then wait. BTW, no body seems to have even noticed that there's no Mario game. Still a sell out.

it helped that zelda came out with it, but i know what you mean, i really hope they dont push this game back. i would rather they push back smash bros till next xmas then this one. maybe well have mario kart next christmas.....i can only hope.

Nintendo doesn't blow its load beforehand, unlike other companies. They make you wait. And wait you will.

[Wii] Nintendo's 2007 Japanese lineup

8:02 am - Matt Behrens | Link to Individual Story
As part of their quarterly fiscal report, Nintendo Co., Ltd. has unveiled their plans for Japanese Wii releases in 2007. They are as follows:

* Animal Crossing
* Battalion Wars II
* Big Brain Academy
* Disaster: Day of Crisis
* DK Kongo Blast
* Eyeshield 21
* Excite Truck
* Fire Emblem: Goddess of Dawn
* Forever Blue
* Kirby
* Mario Party 8
* Mario Strikers Charged
* Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
* Project H.A.M.M.E.R.
* Super Mario Galaxy
* Super Paper Mario
* Super Smash Bros. Brawl
* Wii Health Pack
* Wii Music

Take out Excite Truck and ad Wii Play (w/free controller) for North America. 5 games with Mario featured. No Mario Kart, DK Kongo Blast will be their racing game for 2007.

I wish Super Smash Bros Brawl and Super Paper Mario had a definite date.

I wish Paper Mario were another RPG. I want a Mario RPG. They're awesome.

Looks like 2007 gonna be expensive for me. I left Eyshield and Disaster Day on the list, b/c I'm not sure about them.

BTW, Kongo Blast=DK GCN racing game?

Don't worry, its only a matter time until we see Super Mario RPG on the VC. I just wish Nintendo would assign release dates for those (VC) games.

Oh man I can't believe I missed this post. You know I hate missing a chance to stick it in your stupid face HV.

Anyway, I think people covered it already, Wii sold out, Zelda replaced Mario as a launch title, nobody noticed, etc. Really, Zelda is more viable in this day and age, it reaches the older gamer a little more. Sadly, some idiots think Mario is too "immature" for them...Zelda doesn't have that problem.

Sad but true. Anyways, I have to agree, the Wii launch does feel a little incomplete without Super Mario Galaxy. Although, that really doesn't upset me because it tells me that Nintendo is NOT rushing this game.

I personally beleive that Nintendo is going to truely perfect their strategy next console:
- lowest price
- innovative gameplay similar to the Nintendo DS and Wii
- graphics on par with the Playstation 4 and third generation Xbox
- fully developed online gameplay on par with Xbox Live
- launch titles: a Mario game, a Metroid game, a Donkey Kong game, and a Legend of Zelda game

Launching with all those games would be, in a word, ******ed. Maybe 2 of those games, sure--something with Donkey Kong. Nobody even cares about the DK franchise anymore. Why would Nintendo blow their load at launch when they could stagger the release of Mario, Metroid, and Zelda so as to please the gamer by not having any long lulls between A-list games

I agree. I'm also for Nintendo working to get us one more Zelda and one more Metroid before the Wii is done. I know there is a small amount of turn-around time between consoles (as soon as one is released, they began preliminary work on the next), but I want them to take their time and make the Wii a smash hit console w/ a classic library to support it.

Wooo there Hippie... Lowest price with top graphics... Okay..

Lowest price and top graphics are contradicting statements.

They don't really contradict each other, but it would just be hard to pull off.
