Figured we might as well have a thread on the very thing that helped bring the show about.
One thing always bugs me about this picture, and that's that the early Pre-Crisis Kara costume is off. She's in the front Left. That's obviously supposed to be the first appearance through 1960s Kara, but that Kara had a blue skirt.![]()

I din't hate Kelly's run, but it wasn't close to Gates's. I did like Kara and Cassie as friends (and also later Steph and Kara. I wish the three of them could have done stuff together...) Churchill's lack of anatomical correctness bugged me, especially the enlongated torso he liked to draw.I think I am one of the few that liked Kellys run on Supergirl. And I loved Churchill on the art apart from the micro skirt. But Powerboy was such a great original villain and I loved how Kelly had started up Karas friendship with Cassie/WG.
Seventh. 1972 series, 1982 series, 1994 mini-series, 1996 series, 2005 series, and 2011 series. It's crazy that Supergirl will already be on her 8th volume whenever her title is brought up.

Superman/Batman: Girl From Krypton was what got me back into comics, love the arc and it was my favorite version of Kara Zor-El.
I'm hoping a theory I saw is true. Convergence had Crisis nullified, meaning that the original Kara never died, and that version of Kara was closest in both age and tone to what the show seems to be aiming at. There's a theory that the relaunched book will be a book featuring the original Kara again. Which would make me sob for days. I miss her so much. The Convergence: Adventures of Superman book wrecked my soul in good ways.
Might be, but I can't bring myself to read it, because of all the horrible things in that series that led up to it. The camel's back was broken when you made a character that through most of her existence had been representative of hope, love and compassion into an avatar of rage.
DiDios teased something few months ago. The last creative team on the book (Perkins/Johnson) also hinted at something. We'll see as we're getting the November solicits next week.I'm quite surprised they just dropped Kara's book when they "rebooted" the 52.
you figure they'd want to keep the book going especially with the tv show coming out this fall.
but maybe they're planning on relaunching the book to coincide with the show.
