Before i begin, yes Kevin Conroy is voicing Batman.

http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi2930704921/

This trailer is IP blocked for me, saying its not avaiable for this country so i'm guessing its for US only, so if anyone here could get it on youtube that would be greatly appriciated by all of us.

Now whats the story about? Well heres a short synopis
Lex Luthor the president of America (yeah, he was a president in the comics haha!) declared Superman & Batman as public enemies, as there is an Kryptonite asteroid heading to earth, he claims its the "evil Superman whos planning this" and sets a 1 billion dollar bounty on Superman & Batman. This is based on a Jeph Loeb (Batman: The Long Halloween & Dark Victory writer) and Ed Guinness artist visuals, here is a screencap of the following video (Not taken by me, as i couldn't see it):

This movie is suppose to come this year, i'm guessing december time since Green Lantern: First Flight will come in June. :)
EDIT: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euBRb6mVkx8 Youtube video here! :D

wow. Holy crap I'm excited for this. Time for me to reread my copy of this!

im kinda mixed on this. yeah, it looks like it could be good, thank god they're finally getting away from that bruce timm style, which is good, but i've had far too much of. at the same time, these animated features havent had a good track record. im familiar with the source story, and its a really good one, though the ending was pretty lame.

Trailer looks good, but couldn't have they adapted a better Superman/Batman story? Seriously, Public Enemies sucked, an awful end to the President Luthor arc and clearly Loeb has no idea how the role of President works.

EPIC!!!! I loved this storyline, this is definately a fan favorite. From the art and animation, it looks like they tried to have close to the book as possible. It even looks like most of th villains that where in the story will show up, and it seems there keeping the film close to the original story. Please let Captain Marvel, Nightwing, Hawkman, Robin, Power Girl, and others show up, give the producers the freedom of using these characters. There was some good fights in this storyline, hopefully the writers make certain fights, better or longer Superman vs Captain Marvel. Hell I see Bane is even showing up, I don't think he was in the original story. If the writers don't change much from the book and add or improve on certain aspects, this will be one of the best comic book animated movies of all time. Please let this film be 2 hours long, don't short change us with a 45min or 1hour long movie.:woot:

I just hope Superman TAS's Superman and Lex Luthor reprise their roles, i really loved Luthor in Justice League, he had that charm and evilness around him.

This sounds familiar?
Was this the first story-arc of Batman / Superman comics?

Anyway . . can't wait for it.
Looks great

I'm really hoping they have a good voice for Lex Luthor. They could go ahead and use the JLU series voice for Lex, it was great.

Which ones didn't you like?
While all enjoyable, all of the DC dvds have had big faults really. Superman: Doomsday was the team jacking off to how dark they could make the film rather than trying to make a truly inspirational Superman story. New Frontier was really good, but several scenes were rushed due to the short length. Gotham Knight again like Doomsday sometimes went dark only for darkness sake, and had an odd story or tow. Wonder Woman was quite good, but was obsessed with peddling a feminist message as subtle as getting hit with a anvil. Ironically the fact that the team felt the need to shove such feminist ideals into a woman's movie but not a man's is actually sexist in itself.

So yeah, they've all had faults, but bar Doomsday, have all been quite good. But Public Enemies is a hack story written by Jeph Loeb that makes so little sense I swear he must have been high while writing it. Let's hope the animated story is better.

Which ones didn't you like?

Two-Face=Badass got it right about The New Frontier; the entire film felt rushed and only ended up short changing Superman...now I don't know if he was rushed in the comic itself, but to me, I think they should've had more Superman within the movie, as much as we got Batman, imo. This being strictly a story about Martian Manhunter and The Flash, I think we should've gotten a laid-out story featuring the entire JL(I mean, if we got time to see Batman's suit change and Robin, we should've gotten more story about Supes and even Aquaman; his one minute of fame was also WAY rushed)...but then again, I doubt we'll ever see an animated film that's more than 90 minutes :cmad:

Gotham Knight...I see what they were trying to do, but it's a film that if you didn't watch, it wouldn't have taken away anything from TDK itself. Plus, the anime was horrible to watch, nothing compared to Afro Samurai, imo. The direction of the animation on all six films were unbearable to watch and very hard to try to take it in seriously. Plus Killer Croc looked more funny than scary. I mean, I thought it would be a good film to watch, but the only thing amazing about it was that Batman was again voiced by Conroy.

Superman: Doomsday...now that was probably the most enjoyable movie of this line of DC animated films, but I still sold it, and I had it for about six months. It was good, and a whole lot better than the live-action Superman Returns, but I didn't like how they dealt with Doomsday...sure, he was a beast, he killed a whole lot of people and even killed Superman...but then that's where his arc ended. For a movie called Superman: Doomsday, Doomsday as the character died within 30 minutes of the movie. Now that is idiotic. At least have Doomsday alive at the end, at least have him being brought back to life by Lex Luthor. Besides the Doomsday character, it was just like watching the animated series, with the style and everything. The only new thing was DD, and he died very quickly. Saddening. The writers didn't seem to even try to make it something "new" to see.

And with Wonder Woman...I'm not a big fan of her to be honest, and I haven't watched it yet, but my friend loves the character of WW, so maybe one day she'll make me watch it, lol.

I am so happy about Public Enemies! I love the Superman/Batman book. I hope they do sequels!
It is so cool that they made it look a bit like Mcguiness' artwork. I love his stuff.

DC Universe Animated Original PG-13 Movie Based on Acclaimed Jeph Loeb/Ed McGuinness Comics; Tim Daly, Kevin Conroy & Clancy Brown Reprise Original Voices of Superman, Batman & Lex Luthor

BURBANK, CA (June 29, 2008) – The World’s Greatest Super Heroes become America’s most wanted criminals – and are hunted by friends and foes alike – in Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, the sixth entry in the popular DVD series of DC Universe Animated Original PG-13 Movies. A co-production of Warner Premiere, DC Comics and Warner Bros. Animation, the full-length animated film will be distributed by Warner Home Video on September 29, 2009. Superman/Batman: Public Enemies will be available as a Special Edition 2-disc version on DVD and Blu-Ray™ Hi-Def for $24.98 (SRP) and $29.99 (SRP), respectively, as well as single disc DVD for $19.98 (SRP) and On Demand. Order due date for all versions is August 25, 2009.

Superman/Batman: Public Enemies is based on the popular Jeph Loeb/Ed McGuinness comic series/graphic novel. Animation legend Bruce Timm (Superman Doomsday, Green Lantern) is executive producer. Michael Goguen (Justice League: The New Frontier) is supervising producer. Sam Liu (The Batman) is directing a script written by Stan Berkowitz (Justice League: The New Frontier).

In the film, United States President Lex Luthor uses the oncoming trajectory of a Kryptonite asteroid to frame Superman and declare a $1 billion bounty on the heads of the Man of Steel and his “partner in crime,” Batman. Heroes and villains alike launch a relentless pursuit of Superman and Batman, who must unite – and recruit help – to stave off the action-packed onslaught, stop the asteroid, and uncover Luthor’s devious plot to take command of far more than North America.

The movie reunites the lead voices of Superman, Batman and Lex Luthor from the landmark Superman: The Animated Series and Batman: The Animated Series. Tim Daly (Private Practice), Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series, Justice League) and Clancy Brown (The Shawshank Redemption) reprise their roles as Superman, Batman and Lex Luthor, respectively.
