I liked it well enough....have issues with Allison Mack as Power Girl...don't like the taint of Smallville in the DCU proper....I take solace in knowing that her career is done after Smallville ends anyway

Rutger Hauer was in Smallville. Does that mean you can't watch Batman Begins again?

Rutger Hauer has done plenty of awesome things prior to Smallville and he doesn't star in the show regularly....the only members of that cast that are going to have any semblance of a decent career will probably be Erica Durance or Justin Hartley

I was actually watching the last 2 seasons because I thought it would end last season....I kicked it out of my DVR when I read it got renewed...I have a friend who has watched it since the start, and he's going to let me know when they decide to wrap it up so I can catch the last 3 or 4 eps

in any case...Mack just bothered me as Power Girl because I expected Power Girl to be a bit more mature

well so did many others each for their own reasons. Heck it happens in any show from scifi to soaps. Some times actors just want to leave, or they are forced out, etc.....

Finally got to watch it early today and I gotta say I loved it. The voice acting was top notch and the animation in blu-ray was quite beautiful. Kevin Conroy and Tim Daly sounded so smooth together.

The only problem I had and I think a lot of us had was straight from the fight with Captain Marvel and Hawkman it cuts to Batman and Superman disguised as them. I know it was like that in the comics but it might be confusing to younger audiences. And of course the 65 minute runtime. Even 72-76 minutes would of made it much better.

I would definitely welcome another Superman/Batman teamup movie with Conroy and Daly back.

If I had to rank the DCU movies so far.

I liked it well enough despite being too damn short. Superman actually having muscles adds more power to his movements, especially in his fight scenes. And it was nice to have Tim Daly back as Superman's voice opposite Kevin Conroy's Batman and Clancy Brown's Lex Luthor.

Watching the evening dinner with Conroy, Bruce Timm, Andrea Romano and company, I couldn't help but notice no mention of George Newbern, who replaced Daly as the voice of Superman for Justice League/JLU. I was like damn, Daly's my preferred Superman voice, but Newbern was a loyal henchman during the run of JL/JLU and had the thankless task of picking up where Daly left off, so come on show poor George some love.

Now, when are we gonna get DTVs for Captain Marvel, Flash, Green Arrow, Aquaman and the JSA?

the next DTV due out is Crisis on Two Earths....basically JLA vs. CSA I believe the plan is to put out 2 DTVs per quarter...but a lot of it is dependent on how well they sell

With Marvel being bought my Disney and the rumor of a Marvel/PIXAR film. I wish WB/DC would give Timm the money to make an animated DC feature film.

They're work on the DTV movies get a little better each time.

I'd much rather see Kingdom Come animated on the big screen than as a DTV.

I liked the first 75% of it. But once Luthor put on the power suit and just went crazy, it fell apart for me. And the fact that Batman survived crashing through a meteor was a little too much. Yes, it's a cartoon, and there was already a lot of cartoonish violence already, but it just seemed over the top. The voice acting was top notch though, and dang, Power Girl looked hot.

To me, George Newbern was always the weak link when he came in. He just didnt have the gravitas to match the role.

I thought George Newbern got better as he went along, he just never quite matched Daly, and I find it strange how they never acknowledge Newbern as if he were the black sheep of the family. But I thought Newbern was very good in "Comfort & Joy" and "For The Man Who Has Everything", plus he had some great lines in "Starcrossed".


You know, an adaptation of Emperor Joker could be cool, though preferably not 67 minutes.
