DC Animated - Superman/Batman: Public Enemies

Superman/Batman:Public Enemies is doing great it has already surpassed Green Lantern: First Flight and that one was released 2 months before.

GL:FF $4,828,322
SB:PE $4,840,925

Anyone else find it initially a little jarring to hear the old DCAU voice actors' voices coming out of distinctly different character designs?

I felt the same way. I thought the animation was among the worst. Superman:Doomsday being the worst IMO.

Yea it wasnt bad, for me its real major fault was its short run time. If it was like 80mins-90mins they could have added a little more and expanded on a few details and all that.

Yep.

You know, Superman actually kicked more ass in this 60+ feature than he did in all 5 of his live action films. That's pretty sad.

oh totally, same with SV(if u love it or hate it) there has been more action in that then any superman live action movie(looking at you SR.....)

I liked this flick, but hated the over-musculared look of the characters.

Rather liked Public Enemies, though it ended sort of... abruptly for me. The action was good, though. I was surprised to hear Doctor Cox playing Metallo. And it's always a pleasure to hear Kevin Conroy doing what he does best.

well it was a big thing in the comic right? so it had its place.

Alcoholism - Mainly portrayed through the "Demon in a Bottle" storyline. Tony has a serious problem with it.Arsenal - A doomsday robot built by Iron Man's father, Howard Stark.

That's an interesting and original interpretation of Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, that it's really about Tony Stark's battle with alcoholism and his father's doomsday robot.

:whatever:

Just watched this again on the weekend. It's a decent flick still, but I didn't remember how awkward some moments were.

I actually wish they kept Lois in the story like in the comics.

Power Girl was just so fan-service-y, it was really awkward.

Great opening sequence, though.

Daly and Conroy are amazing in this.

I personally feel this is one of the most underrated DC Animated Universe films, its fun. The artwork matches the comic, the action is off the hook and the best Superman, Lex Luthor & Batman voices reunite. Superb!

This is prob one of THE best DC animated movies that's come out.One of my faves. The one i didnt like the most was the Batman Year One.It was ok, just wasnt what it COULD have been. Now I'm interested in seeing what Superman Unbound and what Flashpoint is going to bring.

Saw this on...I think Netflix a while ago, they since removed it. Saw it in a double pack with Superman/Batman Apocalypse at Wal-Mart for only 10 dollars so I picked it up. Definitely a good movie and really holds up. Also one of the best animated ones.

(Note: Also picked up a triple pack of Gotham Knight, Batman: Under the Red Hood, and Batman: Year One for 15 dollars, if anyone is interested in a deal. Note: secondary "special feature" discs aren't included, though, so you don't get the DCUA shorts (Catwoman, etc.) or the extra episodes from the DCAU shows. Still, though, pretty cheap, especially if you already own all the seasons of those shows and just buy the DC Showcase DVD which has all those shorts in it).

I liked the animation in this movie for all the heroes and villains.

It's such a good animated film, it's a case of does what it says on the cover which is great
