Ok do you guys think that they've made a much better job of making the "alter ego" look a lot different than in the other Superman movies and tv series?

I personaly think that they've done a good job, after watching the latest trailer. If i saw Superman and then saw Clark Kent (in Superman Returns) i would never guess it was him.. They look so different!

What do you guys think?

Well as we all know yes they are... Clark and Superman are the same person.. I was talking about this movie.. Like is the difference between the way Clark and Superman looks really obvious? Like could u tell the Clark from Superman Returns in actually Superman from Superman Returns?

Ok NORMAL people can you answer this godamn post 'cos these noobs aint got any idea lmao

If you ask me, Clark Kent should arrive first, and be a fixture at the dialy planet for 3 to 6 months before Superman Returns, as to avoid any suspicion.

 I just figure, that while Clark is deciding if he wants to be Superman again, he should be working at the Daily Planet, watching how the people of Metropolis, not to mention the world via news, live there lives. It's f-ing logical.

And again, if Clark pops up, then two days later Superman returned, wouldn't SOMEBODY suspect something, including our kick ass reporter Lois Lane.

unfortunately i dont believe this will be the case. i think superman returns rather quickly after clark appears.
i hope im wrong.

Then that is a mistake on the writing staff's part. It's not like they need to show us alot of the 6 month period of just being Clark, but have a scene that establishes that a good amount of time has gone by sense Clark returned.

I disagree. From the audience perspective, Superman probably should not be back and and yet not be out saving people. It'd mean he had to let people be hurt/killed for six months (unless they showed Clark working unobtrusively a few times). Probably makes more sense (not movie-sense here, btw) for Superman to be around for a few months before Clark's return to the Daily Planet.

Impossible. Superman's very nature is to help whenever and wherever he can. Therefore, he wouldn't just sit around as Clark while he could be out saving lives as Supes.

If anything, Superman should return 6 months before Clark.

To answer the querstion in the first post yes they did IMO

As for the citizens of Metropolis, what would even make them think that Superman has a secret identity? They probably just think that he's Superman always

Lobo has jsut said what i was going to say.. only people who work with clark could get a little WTF has clark gone again.

As far as the world knows Superman is superman all the time.. well he is superman all the time except when hes clark..who is superman, who is also clark..who is really Kal'el.. who is superman.

you get the idea.

Yes, they've done a good job. Still I liked the opposite sides of the hair being combed. It diversifies more.

Again, both look great.

It could be made to work fairly well with decent writing.

Clark's hand is forced when the shuttle starts to expirence the malfunction. He doesn't have the time to plan anything. The reason Clark becomes Superman is to save the shuttle/Lois. He wasn't planning on being Superman at that time (not for the reason of protecting himself, but to decide his future). The book decscription describes him as thinking if he does this (becoming Supes) he can't put that genie back in the bottle and he's going to do it for Lois's sake. If he's going to help it's going to be all or nothing. He's forced (atleast in his mind) to be Superman at this point.

Besides, he doesn't need to protect himself or his identity by waiting 3-6 months. The reason no one has ever put 2 and 2 together is because people see what they want to see. Clark is a clumsy, nervous, socially akward person who wears thick glasses, has his hair in his face, slumps over, and so on and so fourth. As where Superman is SEEN as perfect. He's everything Clark isn't and for that matter he's everything every man isn't.

A guy like Clark can't be Superman, period. Richard chuckles to himself after asking about Clark's height and weight. It was such an absurd idea... For me, the timing makes no difference. Clark and Supes are back, and they're not one in the same and everyone seems to know it (or thinks they know it).
