Yeah, none of the summer releases so far has surpassed 250m yet in US... Which makes me suspect SR will be the first...

I agree though, he'll kick more ass than any movie this summer. POTC will succeed, but Superman will be the winner.

I feel that way too.
There's X3, Cars, POTC, Superman, Miami Vice, World Trade Center, Snakes on a Plane, and that's really about it.

I only wanna see four of those, guess which one is fourth?

Last year, we had War of the Worlds, Star Wars, Batman Begins, Serenity, Fantastic four, Mr and Mrs. Smith, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Wedding Crashers, Madagascar, and the list goes on.

The big movies this summer were/are Da Vinci, X3, Cars, MI3 (this had a lot of talk...just didn't make as much money as projected), Superman Returns, POTC, Lady in the Water, and maybe Miami Vice although I doubt it. I don't think Snakes on a Plane will break 80 million, if even that much. It'll gross Scary Movie numbers... I love how you snuck Serenity in there! That wasn't a big movie to anybody but geeks, and it's pretty obvious what a small part of the theatre audience we are with Serenity's box office gross.

While beeing more then entertaining enough (just what I would think!), POTC2 will be nothing more then a ****ing popcorn flick without substense! Just like the first only wiht better effects... I dont give a **** if it'll gross more then superman (which it WON'T!), superman returns is the only real BIG film this summer!!! It'll not only be breathtaking, but also one hell of a story driven movie, with big twists, and a catching romantic tale, also!
