Fatboy Roberts said:Mission Impossible III.
Online premiere that Thursday, with it probably airing on that night's episode of Smallville--even if it's NOT the Finale.
Watch. I will BET YOU that's what happens.

Cinemaman said:People don't like this film, because it is going to rule this summer.
But soon they will love it.
explode7 said:Maybe someone should start a thread on "what show/movie do u think the trailer will air with?"
KalKai said:SV Premieres/Finales always get high ratings. Solitude wasn't the highest rated episode this season even with the SR teaser.
Milkman95 said:I still think it will be attached to another WB film, Poseidon. I do agree the smarter move would be MI3, but we'll see soon enough.
Jlandsw said:But damn that was a good episode! Clark vs. Brainiac.......nuff said!
Dnsk said:Since we know the WB is not afraid to spend Money on this MovieIf they are smart theyd put it with the for sure Big Hits
Mission Impossible 3
Poseidon
Da Vinci Code
Pirates Of The Carrbean
X - Men 3 (This is of course if FOX are not stupid asses about the Competition & all that but you know what after seeing the Simpsons Teaser. I am sure FOX would not mind having the Superman Returns Trailer with X - Men 3)
Maybe someone should start a thread on "what show/movie do u think the trailer will air with?"
Fatboy Roberts said:Poseidon isn't the smarter move because Buzz is damn near nonexistent. MI3 kicks off the Summer Movie Season. So think of it this way--the first thing a lot of people are going to see before the first big movie of Summer unspools is a reminder that SUPERMAN RETURNS is coming out in 2 months. Mission Impossible 3 is probably going to make 50 mil opening weekend. Nice big opening. Could possibly make more, and it's getting great reviews. Warners or not, putting Superman Returns in front of that is going to increase buzz tenfold.
And whether Smallville is the finale or not doesn't make that much difference. The audience doesn't increase THAT MUCH for it to be that big a deal. You wait til week after next and you're stuck with "Poseidon" as the movie and the ratings go up maybe an extra 500,000 to 1 million. Not a good tradeoff.
The trailer's done. Been done. Mission Impossible 3 is going to be really big. Smallville's ramping up to their Season Finale. Why not start May with a bang instead of waiting until the middle of the month?
Keep in mind--just because a trailer is attached to a TV show doesn't mean the TV show will become highly watched. It's just a trailer. The kind of film fans who set their VCR's for that sort of thing aren't all that many. Those fans don't need to be catered to, those tickets are already sold.
And maybe this long-ass thread is a good enough place to have that conversation? Not every branch in a convo deserves it's own thread.
Cinemaman said:Hope we will get it next week with MI3, but now for me I have no matter with what movie it will be attached.
Actually this Thread technically can be merged with my Trailer Discussion Thread & for what Movie will the Trailer be with Discussion can take place there as well
Fatboy Roberts said:Good point. A thread merge is possible with this board software, correct?
Dnsk said:You do realize it can be with BOTH MI3 & Poseidon ? Just because Poisedon is a WB Movie that means ****
musclesforsupes said:The kid saves superman in the hospital thus son of Supes is established.
Milkman95 said:It actually means a lot - the money made is going towards the same pot, and as Fatboy said, Poseidon doesn't have much buzz..........yet. By publicizing the fact that the SR trailer will premiere with Poseidon, that could possibly put more butts in the seats.
I do AGREE that the better move is MI3, but putting a trailer with their own film won't cost them anything either, so we'll see..........
