My personal idea is that you start the next film off with a scene set five years ago during supes agbsence from earth, an alien pod crashes to earth. The audience thinks it is a flashback to super-man`s arrival, a young teenage boy stumbles out disorientated with a bloody, bruised head and he is promptly arrested by a shocked group of soldiers.
Present day lois, clark and co going about their business while unnoticed by the characters there is a report of an minor accident in another nation on tv in the background. Reprts are vague but some eyewitnesses are claiming somtehing seemed to be released during the accident.
Suddenly a newsflash cuts in stating that a train careening out of control. Clark goes to leave but suddenly they state superman is on the scene. Aghast kent watches as a red and blue blur saves various motorists from the train`s path and stops the train from crashing.
As the dust clears a figure steps forward to the news crew and it is obviously revealed he is not superman as is shown by the way in which the red and blue is reversed in his costume. The stranger claims he is superman`s brother and dubs himself Mon-el (That is assuming the general populace in the movieverse know superman is called Kal El).
This causes a media and public frenzy which culminates in the brash Mon El, who has now warmed to his celebrity status, having an interview with Lois Lane And Clark Kent. It is in this interview where he reveals he had infact escaped during the accident and that he had been imprisoned for five years by that nation. He then goes on to explain that his crash to earth left him with amnesia and that he simply assumed superman was his brother because of their similar abilities and that he was not prepared for the populace`s literal interpreation of the phrase "brother". Mon El leaves dubbing himself Valor.
Meanwhile during a show with word class celebrity mind reader Milton Fine. he is overcome by a presence from beyond our world and collapses unconscious on stage. He awakes remembering only the name Vril Dox
Valor`s popularity grows as he saves fifty people from a landslide. Clark Kent wonders whether Valor might be another Kryptonian.
During Milton Fine`s next performance he is almost overcome by the presence again but this time his head literally explodes (due to energy so as to make it have very little gore) and a bolt of green energy from space burst through the roof of the ampitheatre seeting it a ablaze and connects with his
exposed brain. As the crowds panic and run his head reseals and his skin begins to turn a sickly green as he strides purposefully through the flames.
Valor arrives to help the emergency servise deal with the inferno and he helps rescue many of the audience members. He then sees Milton`s form coming through the smoke and extends a hand. Valor is thrown backwards out the door and through a fire truck. The wreckage almost crushes a group of huddled surivors but a ble and red streak saves them just in time.
Valor pulls himself out of the wreckage as superman deposits the surivivors down out of harms way. They turn to see a large figure emerge from the smoke and flames. Milton Fine`s five foot form had been warped and expanded to accomidate the seven foot form of it`s new resident. His skin now a bright unearthly green. Griinning manically the figure announces himself to be "BRANIAC"
