Howdy, everyone. Has anyone got dvds yet?

I do. I got The Adventures of Superman Season 3/4 box sets from Wal*Mart last night. Hehe. I know it is supposed to be out tomorrow but lucky me. Appearanlty it has a free Superman Returns ticket inside.

I'm planning to get others tomorrow, hopefully.

Could you tell us what the "Look Up in the Sky" documentary clip is like? Did they include the part of the show that focused on the George Reeves show, or is it just a random clip from the documentary?

In other words, is it actually used like a real extra (to showcase the show), or is it simply there to market the film and documentary?

I'll have all of the Superman DVDs released today coming in around 12 from amazon.com via 1 day shipping :o

man...Superboy is awful...the guy they have playing Lex makes Hackmans version look brilliant by comparison...

I bought Superboy yesterday...among others. But I've never seen the show before...so I have no idea what to expect.

Okay...I've finally watched me some "Superboy."

....Holy crap that show was bad. Who could have looked at this and said, "All right...we gots us a show!"? The music was awful and none of the cast was much of an actor...but the worst was Luthor...I don't even know what it was that guy was doing...but I absolutely refuse to call it "acting."
This set is going to take me a loooong time to get through...at least the girl playing Lana is cute...so I guess I can sit through it. (Here's hoping other seasons get better...)

Bought 6 Superman related dvd :D only one I didn't bothered was Krypto, I hate that cartoon

My preorder still hasn't come in... boy oh boy, I cant WAIT to see this show. I've been waiting for this show for over 10 years to come out, and I'm so friggin excited

Finally got around to checking out Superboy. The early episodes are worthless, which is probably why I never watched more than one or two during their original run. However, I guess they quickly realized they couldn't compete with the films, so they just decided to have fun with it. Once that happens, the show does become entertaining (in a campy way).

For example, the only early episode I liked featured an imposter Superboy committing crimes. (Similar to a classic Adventures of Superman episode.) Superboy gets busted, then needs Lana to bail him out. The final showdown also takes a page out of George Reeves' book.

A fun episode, but the great thing is that the imposter Superboy reminded me of a Nic Cage wannabe. Thank goodness that Tim Burton film never happened. (Other notable 'guest' appearances from the early shows: Abe Vigoda and a guy that looks like Napoleon Dynamite.)

The only part of the show you can actually take seriously is the takeoff/landing sequences. They are actually very well done. The same cannot be said for the rest of the f/x, though. (I was surprised that they weren't much of an improvement over the 50's show, yet also not much worse than Lois and Clark!)

remember, that this is only the first season... it gets much better in the next seasons...

that's why people must buy this series!

just ordered the superboy dvd through amazon :D

should arrive sometime next week!
