Supernatural - Season 5

It's still his brother. I didn't expect him to cry about it; b/c as you said, it's more about Sam. Just expected him to say something. It most likely would have happened during Dean and Bobby's goodbye talk but the Prophet narrated over that. No biggie though.

Mine was more addressed to the person who said it was sloppy writing, which I couldn't disagree with more. Adam wouldn't mean anything to him at that moment. It's actually pretty unrealistic to expect Dean to have a brotherly connection to him when he only met the real Adam once.

I have no estranged brothers so I can't relate. Ah well, I'm sure it'll be addressed next season

i just found out something interesting. Nothing about upcoming season, but who was second in line to play Castiel and it was none other then Lucifer himself Mark Pellegrino. That be weird and imagine if Misha Collins was Lucifer instead. Talk about role reversals.

I don't know why the idea of Death as a villain next year keeps coming up... The character made it very plain that humans and life on Earth meant basically nothing to him, and didn't seem to have any real qualms with God. He really seemed to recognize that he and God superceded existence.

I only mentioned Death because he is powerfull enough to be as big or bigger threat than the Devil. I was just throwing stuff out there.

ive actually known this for awhile, one version of the pilot had sam and dean living with their aunt and uncle before becoming hunters

He'll always be Jacob to me. Then Lucifer and then Rita's abusive ex-husband!

wait, was he in power rangers?*goes off to wikipedia

Dexter. Not Power Rangers. He plays the main characters girlfriend/wifes ex-husband who's a meth head and in jail.

But he comes back into their lives as a pretty normal dude and Dexter ****s him up, sends him to jail, and he gets killed in there.

Spoiler aleeeert! :awesome: I kid.

Mischa Collins I could potentially see pulling off Lucifer after seeing him portray Jimmy and Cas so differently, but Pellegrino was just meant to be Lucifer.

Yes it had the dad dying at the start of the show. And Jess was a demon and the woman in white wasn't in that ep.

I'm glad that Jess remained an innocent. When they revealed that one of Sam's friends was really a demon, I was afraid they would reveal Jess to be like that too. I'm glad that wasn't the case.

The original pitch for Supernatural was about a writer who wrote for a newspaper and would fly town to town reporting about the events. The studio didn't like it and asked if he had anything else and then pitched the Sam and Dean idea and they liked it and was greenlit that day.

Interesting. I could see how the studio would be wary of that plot being too slow and overdone (someone who knows nothing about supernatural beings stumbling into something).

Jacob couldn't pull off the awkwardness like Misha can, and I doubt Misha could pull off the creepy that Jacob could.

Glad they didn't have the two swapped.

If they haven't explored Purgatory yet in the series, I think that would be an interesting direction to go. It would also be a good place to hide the souls of their parents. There could be a whole thing about busting them out of Purgatory and getting them to Heaven, like a supernatural prison break lol.

I think we jumped the gun on the time jump...

Question: I heard that Supernatural was planning a time jump at the beginning of season 6. Is this true? —Tiffiny
Ausiello:
No. But I think I know how the rumor got started. Apparently, Jensen Ackles was asked in a recent interview what he would like to see happen next season, and he threw out the idea of a flash-forward. And like a game of telephone, that got turned into “Supernatural is jumping forward!” Could it happen? Sure. Will it happen? That’s yet to be determined.

If there's no time-jump then, based on what Chuck said, it's going to be a loooong time before we see Bobby again. :(

spoilers on season 6
SUPERNATURAL: Season six will be a season of mystery and shadow. Heaven and Hell have been left in complete disarray since the apocalyptic events of season five. And now, monsters, angels and demons roam across a lawless and chaotic landscape. And so Dean Winchester, who has retired from hunting and sworn never to return, finds himself being pulled back into his old life – pulled back by none other than Sam Winchester, who has escaped from Hell. The two reunite to beat back the rising tide of creatures and demon-spawn, but they quickly realize that neither are who they used to be, their relationship isn’t what it used to be, and that nothing is what it seems
