Exactly. Sam may meet up with Sheriff Mills and she may try to help in figuring out away to bring back Dean, but the "old friend" does NOT mean Sam will meet some angelic presence to bring Dean back.

I didn't know the spoiler about the old friend, so it was just honest speculation... And I mean, the Angels have always been involved in time travel, so I figured it was at least possible.

In full disclosure, I hate the time travel eps, haha.

i have loved the time travel episodes. Though to be honest i love time travel stuff in general.

I don't mind time-travel episodes. They have been some of my favorite actually("In the Beginning" and "The Song Remains The Same"), and I hope "Time After Time" is at least as good as "Frontierland". Although, the aspect of an angel sending the boys through time is something I liked, so with Chronos being used and not an angel...I need to watch it before I judge honestly. And to also find out how Dean gets back, although I have an idea and it's a bit lackluster(Sam threatens Chronos in some way and he brings Dean back).

I can't complain. Seven years is a hell of a run. Especially when the head of your network has actively tried to kill you for five of them.

As much as I love the show and am glad we have had it around for this long, part of me wished the series ended at season 5.

Take out Sams return at the end and Swan Song would of been the perfect series finale. Sam dies taking down the biggest villain ever and Dean gives up hunting to have a somewhat normal life with Lisa and Ben.

It's Friday. It's the CW. And it doesn't have Smallville as a lead-in anymore.

The ratings weren't going to be anything but low.

Well the new boss has already mentioned the high possibility of an eighth season, and it seems like they are planning for that to be Supernatural's last season. So, perhaps they are setting up the endgame for the series, but I don't see it being this season to be Supernatural's last.

if the CW really wanted to increase their viewership, theyd put up new episodes on the CW website faster. i cant tell you how many times, ive missed an episode, and not been able to watch it for a WEEK because they just never put it up. by the time i see that one, ive missed the new one as it aired. its soo annoying. i dont know what they gain by waiting so dang long! =(

yeah, their 3 day delay is bull. CBS, NBC, ABC, and TNT have their stuff online the next day.

Of course Fox makes you wait 8 days.

And USA makes you wait 30!

The ratings are not that bad for its day/time slot and compared to other cw shows. If it holds here they can get another season.

I knew they wouldn't forget about it, but I do understand that they shouldn't bring it up every episode. I mean, after finally seeing Halucifer, it would just feel like the same thing with it over and over again. Finally seeing him in the fifteenth episode is just enough.
