Supernatural - Season 5

ugh i havent watched it yet, but thank the maker for it being back on! it seems like that was the third break we've had this season, and it was extra long! blah

[blackout]"Awesome, another horseman. Must be thursday"[/blackout]:awesome:

This episode has so many great moments in it, so glad this show is back.

Absolutely loved it when Sam shot the zombie and the blood 'landed' on the camera :p :awesome:

I just bum rushed episdoes 11-15 (Thank you public library with a T1 connection)

"PUDDING!"
"Are you talking about the sex???"
"You're like a Delorean without any plutonium?" "I don't understand that reference."
"....Be my valentine?"
"Must be Thursday."

All of Season 5 has been really great so far. I was happy to see an actual zombie episode instead of Croatoans. Really emotional episode as well.

I wonder if Kripke had intended to parallel Michael/Lucifer and Dean/Sam so much from the beginning: Dean following Dad's orders, Sam being the rebel, etc. Really well done. I love how much they're teasing both brothers saying yes.

Wasn't overly excited about tonight's ep... Mainly because it was just one big countdown to when the zombies would turn, which everyone knew they would.

And there was no emotional payoff, because Bobby's reaction at the end... doesn't make a lick of sense. He actually waffles on whether or not he's going to stick with the boys? After Death and the Devil played a card that dirty against him? After everything evil's already done to him in his life, he'd quit now??!?! It just didn't make any sense. It's the kind of plot that would certainly fit some recurring characters that we've seen pop up on Supernatural, but not Bobby Singer. At least to me.

I think that Bobby is just feeling defeated right now, broken. He's been through Hell and back, figuratively, this season, so I think it's all finally caught up to him. He's not going to give up completely, so he'll come back in a blaze of glory at some point, I think.

Since episode 1 they have. Pretty sure Kripke had the entire show mapped out (5 year story) with the huge plot points pretty much completely hammered out before he even sold the story to CW.

^Me too
When I saw those bodies piling up, I thought " I wonder what the body count was".

New game plan huh ? Maybe they'll use ...

the anti-Christ kid against Lucifer or use the 3rd brother to say yes. Of course they would need to revive the dead brother. Both reappearing to sacrifice themselves is plausible. Assuming of course that the 3rd brother appears beyond next week's heaven episode.

since i rewathced that show with the third brother, then them sayin peoplle we thought would never return will, ive been sayin its adam

Ugh, no third brother. Leave him dead and let them never bring him up again. :o

I really hope they don't bring back the third brother. He wasn't needed and it meddles up the Sam/Dean Kane(sp?)/Abel Michael/Lucifer parallels. The episode was called "Jump the Shark" for a reason, and I hope that episode stays self contained.

its Cain fyi, and i think it would make sense if they are picking another game plan, of course it also opens up the whole, "who vessel is he?" thing, maybe jesus? jsut sayin

I'm not very religious, so I don't know Cain/Abel's story well. Anyway, Jesus wasn't an Angel, just a son of God, so he wouldn't really need a vessel. It's pointing to Michael finding a new vessel. Unfortunately, it's pointing to the third brother, since there's no one in the bloodline left. I'm not saying the third brother doesn't make sense, I just don't want them to go that route.

alright thats cool, but yeah knowing the story's basics cain kills able, cain is banished from eden thats all ya need to know really to understnad it

I'm hoping it's not the 3rd brother too but that twist is very possible. Personally, I'm hoping the familiar face we'll see again is John Winchester. That will be friggin cool.

Anyway, the Season Finale title is...

SWAN SONG

Awesome that they chose the red version for the dvd cover.

And I have a feeling that the familiar face will be

Ash. Chad Lindberg received scripts during the winter break after Abandon All Hope.

Fun Fact: Yesterday's episode was supossed to air before My Bloody Valentine episode.

Nice! I didn't know that! I wonder why they made the switch? But that explains why there was no mention of Sam going on demon blood detox and Dean seems to be in better spirits than where we left off after the MBV ending.

Spoilers about 2 characters coming back -

the guy who plays Gabriel/Trickster said that his character will be seen again but he can't say more. Maybe he's the one we'll see on the 100th episode? Or maybe in the Finale. Me thinks he'll help out the boys.

ETA: Chuck will be back in the finale.

I figure they made the switch because of the hiatus they took, and by the time they came back from it (now) it would be way too late to do a Valentines episode. I hope they do come back to the issues from MBV though.
