I've noticed a lot of people, usually Republicans, who say if you don't support Bush, then you aren't supporting the troops., or you're supporting the terrorists, or even worse, you hate America. Now I know I have loads of support for the troops. I wish them the best, and hope they get home to their families soon. But I do not support Bush in any way. Let's hear some of your thoughts.

It's more "Support the War"="Support our troops". Bush just happens to be the War's main advocate.

No. Bush and the Troops are two entirely different entities.

People are still doing that?

**** bush - **** the war ....next

I support the troops coming home. And I think there are things that affect troop morale more than civilians speaking out against the war or politicians against the war- such as a soldier in Iraq receiving a letter from their fiancee and included in the letter is the engagement ring; a soldier receiving a letter from his ex-wife letting him know that she now has sole custody of the children, leaving out the fact that she and her attorney failed to let the judge know that the ex-husband is in the military and stationed in Iraq; the increase of divorces in military families; the increase in suicides among active service members being at a 20 year high. Just to name a few.

It's a Republican propaganda campain, the war is lost..so they try to attach one thing to another.

you can support the troops and speak out for their rights.......it doesnt necessarily have to be connected

You can oppose the war and still support the troops, whoever says otherwise is an idiot.

I support the fact that our soldiers are fighting to protect us that will never change. Whether they fight for a just cause... meh I'm a republican but I oppose the war :/

I'd heard of stuff like that in NPR, but the instances you're mentioning are very sad

so, what's so good about war anyway?

"If you don't support the war you are Anti-American"

-Bill O'reilly (pretty much)

Yeah-thats just a taste of Republican propoganda.Im sure Ive mentioned this before but theres these ads that run on CNN with Army wives whos husband has died in Iraq....Its insane. They say things like"To surrender now would be wrong".And as you know-that drives me crazy.I was yelling at the TV like your dad on Sundays "Surrender??!! Surrender to who??!!!"

Wasnt it McCain that said some crazyness a while back like "No Americans should speak out against their president"???
Dude-You spent all that time in the Hanoi Hilton and NOW you get Stockholm Syndrome??!!! WTF?
