Survivor: Kaoh Rong

I cannot stand the remaining brawn tribe(the girl is alright, it's the NBA guy and the other dude). Hopefully they merge or swap tribes next week and get picked off one by one.

Supposedly the brawn guys were worse than what was shown. They can't leave fast enough, but unfortunately I suspect they're in it for the long run.

Now that they've reached the merge I hope the editing picks up some. The beauty tribe sans Tai, Neal, and Joe are practically nonentities at this point.

Those 2 brawn dudes are huge a-holes. Yes, we all know that Alicia is useless (even she knows it) but they don't have to treat her like that. That NBA guy is acting like he's Michael Jordan when he's only a bench guy and hasn't even played at the playoffs during the year his team got the championship.

I think Caleb is gross in BB but I suppose being in BB helped him be more self aware and he turned out great in Survivor. Too bad he had to exit like that. He had lots of potential. Plus I ship him and Tai. :funny:

The challenge designers screwed up a bit by making that circle to large, at least given the conditions that were out there. Three players going down with heat stroke is just unbelievable.

I´m glad Alicia is gone, she really was completely useless and should have been the first one out. Even so, I think that Scott could have been more polite in his disdain and just kept his opinion to himself.

But... but he's an NBA Champion!!!

Another good episode this week. The way they handled the odd number of players was interesting even though it did kind of screw up things for people from the same tribe as the red bandanna picker.

I'm not sure that I agree with Scott when he urged Ty not to play the idol. I would have wanted him to play it so that it would come back into play and possibly into my hands later. Still, if they merge on 10 and Scott, Ty and Jason are together in a five person alliance then having the super idol all but guarantees that that five person alliance will come out on top in a split vote if both halves are ready to play it.

Peter's fast becoming my favorite character. His combination of cluelessness and arrogance is absolutely amazing.

Peter paid the price for not committing to one strategy. You should never flirt with defection since it so often blows up in your face when your original alliance gets wind of it.

Personally I thought Aubry was making a bad play in voting out Peter at that point since it in essence put her in the minority on her tribe and possibly alienated Joe, but I guess it worked out for her.

Unfortunate ending for Neal, I think he had a legitimate shot at going far this season. I was hoping to see how the tribal council would have worked out had it happened.

As to the future, I'd like to see the brawn tribe start to get chopped down a bit and would LOVE to see Debbie get booted, though I find it hilarious how they are constantly changing her occupation title. (Civil Air Patrol Captain, Waitress, Model, etc.)

Debbie has definitely bought into her own hype and is getting blinded by her success so far. Considering that it is based on just surviving one tribal council it really isn't warranted.

Shame about Neal going out that way. It must really suck being pulled from the game when you feel fine and want to go on. Ultimately though I think him being pulled from the game may prove to be a good thing for the rest of the brains tribe as they've become less of a threat while there hasn't been a vote to solidify the beauty/brawn alliance. After all, Debbie, Aubry and Joe must appear as much less threatening than Jason and Scott.

Definitely less threatening in my opinion (at least by appearances). I'm curious what the dust up is about that has Cydney all riled up in the preview for the next episode. It's probably just typical editing making it seem more than it is but who knows, hopefully the whole brawn tribe starts coming apart at the seams. Wouldn't bother me to see either Scott or Jason get kicked.

The people I want to go at this point are: Jason, (duh), Scot (duh), and Julia. Everyone else can stay on my screen. This has been such a strong cast it's unbelievable.

There are apparently leaked pics of the juror which suggest that the F3 are:

Debbie
Michele
Audrey

I'm very much OK with this if true.

So much for that leaked pic, lol.

Maybe I'm overly sensitive but I wanted to reach through the tv last night and smash Tai, Jason and Scott's faces with a brick covered in broken glass. I don't understand how anyone can think that doing what they did is a good idea, not to mention it's just a spiteful, childish thing to do. No jury member in history would vote for them.

Getting rid of Debbie was a good move as she would have been a issue down the road, even though it still leaves the idiotic 3 with a potential super idol. Hopefully, it will get flushed out next time and we can start to see those 3 get taken out.

First I thought it was funny Jason & Scott were going to just blatantly sabotage but also thought: wouldn't they also be hurting themselves (no fire, no water?), then I thought Scott was a-hole for being so in their faces at camp about it (dousing fire w/ water), but I do think he had a point when he told Jeff that he had been getting all the water and he had been hoisting Tai up to get the coconuts. Yeah, it was all childish & it definitely pushed Joe into the women's camp, but I guess "being childish" is but one out of many possible strategies. It did help stir things up which can be helpful if it seems like you're just in a minority that's going to get complacently picked off.

Loved all the chaos in the women's group when they kept switching around on who they were going to vote off! And then funny at tribal to see the men bewildered when Debbie's name came up. The men thought they knew what the women's plan was but then clearly were in the dark about the additional intra-group conflicts and drama.

Enjoyed the little play the men put on at tribal w/ the idols. Who knew they had it in them to script something out like that? I'm also hoping that the women don't understand how the idols are used (superidol used AFTER voting) so the guys have at least one more shot at confusing everyone. Not that I'm saying I'm necessarily rooting for the guys, but it WAS very entertaining! So I hope for at least one more episode there's no "leak" about how the superidol works

Kind of sad to see ole' Debbie go. Couldn't stand her for the first few eps, but in a weird kind of way she grew on me and I often thought she made good points, had good strategy, had better social skills than I first thought and had a bit more insight into herself than I originally had thought.

God, I hate this superidol crap. What's Survivor's obsession with powerful idols anyway?

That's the amazing thing about their behavior. At least Tai kept his acting out on the downlow. Maybe Jason and Scot are playing for second at this point.

This has been a good season.

I can't believe I went from wanting Jason and Scott to get voted off to rooting for them. LOL.

At this point I really don't have a favorite, just enjoying the season.

I really disliked how Scott and Jason (mostly Scott) handled the setback of losing the numbers at the beginning of the show. Usually antics like that do nothing but make you look small and petty. This time however it actually worked which is incredibly surprising to say the least.

The sabotage made Debbie unwilling to vote for anyone but Scott which irritated Aubry and eventually made her target Debbie. Personally I think Aubry made a incredibly bad move there since even if Debbie was going to be a liability down the road she was still solidly with the girls.

Of course the way the guys played the idols at the tribal council was pretty epic and made it so that it became a smart play to not target any of the three of them.

All in all a great episode :)

Only problem is now it seems rather predictable who the final 4 will be

I don't keep up with spoilers so I really have no clue what to expect. Like I thought Debbie was gonna go way far given her edit but that didn't happen. And usually, the most recent seasons started strong but after the merge, it became so predictable like Survivor: Worlds Apart, I thought it was good but went downhill after the predictable post-merge. But this season, after the 2nd medical evacuation, two back to back blind sides happened, there was some drama at camp and the season is already done halfway so I'm very pleased especially I didn't like Survivor: Cambodia. So I really hope the last five episodes turn out to be good. I really hope Tai backstabs those 2 guys lol, that would be awesome! :ilv:

I love that I can't tell who this season's winner is yet. Usually it's obvious by now.

Seemed to me last week that Aubry was getting the winner's edit. Then she made a ridiculously stupid move this week that has hurt her standing in the game. Honestly, under the right circumstances, it could be just about anyone. I can't recall the last time that the game was so up in the air this late in the season. Even close games can usually be narrowed down to a few serious contenders. But of the remaining players I really cannot think of anyone who cannot win at this point.

I have a hard time seeing Joe win unless he manages to end up with Jason and Scott in the final three and everyone else is pissed at J&C.

If I were a gambling man I'd put my money on Ty winning, he has been getting a very positive editing so far and it seems like everyone likes him.
