Parents faking religious beliefs to keep children from being vaccinated

You'll still read it. And the one after this, and so on. I've got you.

HAA **** THE SYSTEM!

see other people like to **** it.

I never read them. I wait until people start talking about them in order to get the gist of what's going on, or I forget about it entirely.

Hey Runty

Bottom Line

She is among a small but growing number of parents around the country who are claiming religious exemptions to avoid vaccinating their children when the real reason may be skepticism of the shots or concern they can cause other illnesses.

See? Is that so hard? If I wanted to go to other websites to get news, I'd go to other websites to get news. I see a thread with a title that mildly interests me, I click it to get the gist. If all I get in the thread is a link, I'm not going to click it because it defeats the purpose of reading a thread on the Hype about it.

how likely is a person to die because of a vaccination?

An ex of mine worked for an alternative health clinic and swore that she wouldn't vaccinate her kids due to perceived risks from the vaccinations themselves. This fake "non-vaccination" religion thing was a common topic where she worked.

Now she's pregnant (by her new husband, not me of course), and I can't help but wonder if she's going to stick to her guns in doing this. Of course, she also claimed that she would do natural childbirth at home with a midwife and no drugs, so it will be interesting to see if that happens as well.

As for vaccinations, I do personally believe that we vaccinate babies too young, and that the risks of doing this are hidden by the big drug companies. However, kids need some kind of vaccinations at some point, particularly in an increasingly global society where there is more international travel and kids can be exposed to more diseases from other countries.

Fair point :cwink:

Same here. Or I've already looked it up on Yahoo, and since it is not my opinion, I don't bother posting it in here.

These people refusing to vaccinate their kids are idiots.

They be sorry when the kids gets mumps or worst

HAHA, good. I hope their kids get TB. Thin out the gene pool.

I don't know if it's the same article I read, but they referred to a case where a kid brought something into church where they didn't believe in vaccinations, and around 80 people got infected, 7 or 8 died.

Hmmm... I wonder why the writers didn't have House address the side-effect fears concerning infant vaccinations instead of just focusing on the money aspect?

I'm tempted to write them all off as morons, but I want to make sure I'm not missing something here.

Is there such a thing as too young, for vaccination?
Vaccinations have side effects? I've never heard of that before.

theres a lot of stuff going on now with young children and certain medicines and vaccinations, so I cna understand why some people woulfd be scared.

recently they just pulled all the over the counter cough/cold medicine for infants off store shelves because of certain problems it can cause. I have some in my house but luckily hadnt given any to my daughter.

Another element that adds to some of the current suspicion concerning vaccines is the way the big drug companies aggressively market their medications and sometimes downplay negative side-effects of their products.

This may not have anything to do with the safety of infant vaccinations, but the drug companies have lost a lot of public trust in recent years and that just adds to the paranoia.

The rate of autism has risen dramatically and many people believe there could be a link between the increased percentage of children with autism and the one-size-fits-all vaccinations. I've heard some claim that this idea has been soundly disproved, but that's not necessarily the case.

Vaccinations are critical, but the method in which they are currently distributed may not be a wise road to continue to pursue.

Does it even say exactly what type of vaccination it is? I don't recall seeing that when reading that article. If it's something new I understand the caution but if it's about your good old fashioned Tetna(sp?) shot, they have been doing that for years against infections and there hasn't been any problems we know of.

I hate the way you post news stories. :down

You're just mad that a black man is paying attention to current events.
