Taco Bell being sued for not using beef, but "beef-like product"

If anything Taco bell should be sued for selling bastardized Mexican food. People only eat that crap because it's so cheap.

I love their food even though it's junk, but I don't eat it as often as I used to.

At this point, I can't be bothered to care. I've had quite a few burritos. Yummm...I love burritos
But yeah, as long as I'm not being poisoned.

Any "ethnic" food served in America in mass quantities is bastardized... that's a lot of sueing.

As long as it's edible & FDA approved and it's not made of people, I don't really care what Taco Bell's beef is made of.

Taco Bell is fighting against the lawsuit:

UPDATE: Taco Bell President and Chief Concept Officer Greg Creed contacted The Lookout with a strongly worded amended corporate response to the lawsuit:
At Taco Bell, we buy our beef from the same trusted brands you find in the supermarket, like Tyson Foods. We start with 100 percent USDA-inspected beef. Then we simmer it in our proprietary blend of seasonings and spices to give our seasoned beef its signature Taco Bell taste and texture. We are proud of the quality of our beef and identify all the seasoning and spice ingredients on our website. Unfortunately, the lawyers in this case elected to sue first and ask questions later -- and got their "facts" absolutely wrong. We plan to take legal action for the false statements being made about our food."

I always wondered why some restaurants and stores referred to it as merely "taco meat" as opposed to a certain kind of meat. Now I know.

Sadly, I don't even care. I know that Taco Bell is terrible for you. The few times that I eat it, I'm not thinking about the nutritional properties.

I usually get the T-Bell seasoning from the store, & then get some ground turkey, or chicken.

Honestly, it doesn't taste all that different from the actual Bell.

Of course it's made with beef. That's stupid to think otherwise. Mind you the fact that they have a 0.01% beef to 99.9% other "meat and/or meat-like substances" ratio means it still contains beef no matter the quantity.

Personally, it hurts me to eat taco bell. The only reason I'd go there is because the one in town is merged with KFC. It also hurts me when friends eat there... and I'm anywhere near them more than 20 minutes after the fact. :p

It seems as though, with all the oats, that the mixture would be healthier than normal beef.

Personally, I don't care what is in it. If it tastes good, as long as it isn't human parts and isn't something that could make me sick, I am ok with it.

I'll sue them if they use anything else!

Love that beef like product.

As long as its not human, I dont care what it is because its delicious.

Taco Bell is nasty....nasty......nasty. Goat meat all the way at my neighborhood Mexican Restaurant and bar.
