Taika Waititi is Korg in Thor Ragnarok!

So how long until someone gets mad that Taika made a homosexual character more "effeminate" by giving him a higher voice? I'm afraid it's just a matter of time in this day and age.

Taika did motion capture for Korg and voiced the character. He spoke in more or less his own voice. That shouldn't be a controversy but who knows? The Internet outrage machine will do what it does, no use in fretting about it.

Also, in the comics Valkyrie is definitely not a lesbian. She had a relationship with Flash Thompson in 616 and with Thor in Ultimate.

I seriously hate Korg's design in this movie. It's too busy and it's like they completely forgot to finish his face. They even tried to curl the rocks on his head to resemble Waititi's hipster hair cut.

I'd still take this one over it every day of the week.

Btw I know you are the Hype's resident biggest Korg fan so I should say that he's actually in it quite a lot and gets a fair few lines. A significant supporting character I would say rather than a cameo. Miek is more of a cameo.

He says he fights warm up gladiator battles before the main event although these aren't shown. He is the leader of what he calls the revolution against the Grand Master. Most of it is all played for comedy. He's got a soft NZ accent and gets a lot of one liners. I was surprised by how much screentime he got
