Talk Shows Return!

Conan was great last night, I'm also glad that Colbert called Conan out though, they need to be on each others show now.

Conan vs. Colbert is tame in comparison to Leno vs. Letterman. At least Conan and Colbert are friends.

they still talk.

?

When was this? Leno wants to talk and try to salvage something after 15 years but Letterman's being a *****e. At the Emmys they they take different routes backstage so they don't run into each other.

Conan failed to include the damning footage saying Huckabee owes it to Colbert. Should be interesting to see where this goes.

And Esteban Colberto returned, via a border fence to interview Lou Dobbs.

That what I love about Stephen Colbert, he's always calling people out if they try to pass something off as original that he started first. I agree with him though, the graphics for that segment were lacking, Jimmy needs to work on them a little.

I'm confused now, because I've heard Jay mention numerous times that they talk to each other and are on what I assumed friendly terms.

Leno talks about Letterman on his show, but the two haven't spoken to each other since `92. I think Letterman is being the a-hole here. Its NBC that he should be upset with. They were the ones who stepped over him.

well even beyond talking about him, he's mentioned talking to him.

or maybe theyre just having one-way conversations.:o

From Wiki:
Johnny Carson retired on May 22, 1992, and was replaced by current host Jay Leno amid mild controversy. David Letterman not only wanted to move into that earlier time slot from his late night spot after The Tonight Show, but was considered by Carson and others as the natural successor (despite Leno having been Carson's permanent guest host for several years). In the years following Carson's retirement until his death in 2005, he never appeared as a guest on Leno's The Tonight Show. Letterman, having had his heart set on the earlier time slot, eventually left NBC and joined CBS. Late Show with David Letterman, airing in the same slot, has been competing head to head against Leno's The Tonight Show ever since.

Yes, I know the story. But that doesn't mean they aren't currently on speaking terms.

But it doesn't say that. And I don't believe you, so there!:o

I guess we'll have to wait till one of them writes a tell all book, maybe after Leno retires, or when Lettermen gets ever closer to death.

In 03, Leno said something about they should shake hands and stop being kids about it.

But of course... he's the one that screwed Letterman, so it could be easier for him to do it.

It exactly as Catman said ....
