Tarantino To Remake Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!?

Quentin, would you stop f**king around with this stupid s**t and get your ass working on Inglorious Bastards already?

You actually think he is going to land that rumored cast? The only one that confirmed was Madsen... and how old is the guy now? Like 60? All those Tarantino regulars are too old for a WW2 set piece... they guy will probably never make anything good for a while...

I am totally convinced this man doesn't have an original thought in his head.

There are no original ideas, just new takes on old ideas. I find it odd that you say this about Tarantino, but your avatar and sig are both from a movie based on a comic book, of a character that's been done on the big screen no less than 4 times now. So, I guess Christopher Nolan doesnt have an original thought in his head, seeing as he's obviously just doing the same thing everyone else did. Oh, what's that? He's doing it differently than the previous versions? Well, then I guess your thoughts on Tarantino are just totally hypocritical then, cause that's exactly what he does.

Well played.

As for TNA aspect, it was one of the few Meyer films that actually has no nudity at all.

True, but we all know that Tarantino is the homage man. If he's gonna do a proper homage to Meyers he's gotta do it right.

Ok since you decided to bring up Nolan. I will name the most Original movie he has done, & you name the most Original movie Tarantino has done.

Momento.

I know ! I have been looking forward to this for along time and he needs to move forward with it already.

No kidding, this movie sounds friggin sweet. Tarantino needs to get his head in the game. BEing passed on for Casino Royale must have really jarred him since all he seems to want to make is crime/indie/genre pics.

Momento, the movie based on a short story by his brother? Yeah, that was a real original idea from Chris

I could say Jackie Brown then, cause you know, both based on books by someone else.

Damn! Your such a buzzkill.

Wow. That is your big rebuttal. Really?

I could say Jackie Brown then, cause you know, both based on books by someone else.

Jackie Brown is Tarantinos "Omage" to blackpoitation movies. Doesn't count. Try again.

Just having a main character who is black does not make a movie blackploitation. Blackpoloitation movies are more akin to Blakula...all black casts doing movies that are well...very very black centered. Jackie Brown had what? 3 black people in the entire thing?

I could've swore that is what was said about the film when it origianlly came out.

Hehe. You know, it's Memento not Momento. Menonto senor, momento! :woot:

And that's "homage" with h not "omage". :oldrazz:

But yeah, QT hasn't directed anything original.

Reservoir Dogs = remake/copy/"inspirated by" of City on Fire.
Pulp Fiction = Co-written with Roger Avary.
Jackie Brown = Based on a book by the same name.
Kill Bill = homage to old kungfu flicks.
Death Proof = homage to old exploitation flicks.

The ones he has written but not directed are entirerly different story then.

True Romance = Okay, some drugs are taken, people want 'em back etc. Not so original, but it was different from others in a very good way.
Natural Born Killers = Well, okay (again) couple murdering people. But this was done differently too.
From Dusk Till Dawn = Bar owned by mexican vampires, anyone? And the flick starts as a heist road movie and turns into a horror splatter.

He may not have anything particulary original other than PF and FDTD, but I still dig the shait outta his films. Sue me.

Oh and, the only original thing Nolan has ever done was his first movie Following. All the other films he has made are based on something.

So there you go, both directors aren't so good on creating something original. But who isn't nowdays, huh? I think the most original movie I saw last year was The Ten by David Wein.

The more I think about this the more I hate it! The level of grit, violence, explotiation in that movie would raise an ire if released today. Besides, thhose chicks were damn perfectly stacked, who's gonna replace them, clones of Kim Cardassian?

it may have been said by people who have no idea what the hell blackploitation is :)

Im usually one to back up Tarantino but Im pretty sure he said Jackie Brown was an homage to blaxploitation movies.

True Romance = Okay, some drugs are taken, people want 'em back etc. Not so original, but it was different from others in a very good way.

Directed by Tony Scott.

Natural Born Killers = Well, okay (again) couple murdering people. But this was done differently too.

Directed by Oliver Stone

From Dusk Till Dawn = Bar owned by mexican vampires, anyone? And the flick starts as a heist road movie and turns into a horror splatter.

Directed by Robert Rodriguez.

What stick **** in it for the sake of ****?

Don reckon that would nessesairily make it a proper homage, if anything it could be constrewed as missing the point.

Directed by Robert Rodriguez.

if you want to get techincal, even Rodriguez admits he was doing his best Tarantino impression with the directing though, and you can definietly see it...some of the shots are right out of Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction. So while Tarantino didnt do it himself, Rodriguez was, I dont know, channeling him.

he mentioned they werent directed by Tarantino

I know. I'm just pointing out why they are so un-Tarantino esque. Sure he wrote the script, but when you watch, say From Dusk Till Dawn, its pretty obvious that you are watching a Robert Rodriguez movie. And lets not even get started on Natural Born Killers. Tarantino even beat the crap out of Oliver Stone for completely changing his script.

That was during the pre-Mexican bar scenes. Once we get to the Mexican bar it turns into a 100% Robert Rodriguez movie.
