I hope you're wrong, but you might be right.
For some reason, I don't get the impression that they are going to do the same things, use the same tactics, present the ARG in the same way they did the last time. It's predictable and we'll already be looking for certain types of puzzles and clues. I would hope the creative team went back to the drawing board once they got the commission to create a new ARG and came up with something truly unique.
Not that I'd complain if they did an ARG resembling the previous one. It was an awesome ride! But for this one, I'm trying to steer away from what we experienced the last time and see what other directions this could be taking. More social media obviously, and it makes perfect sense. What else could they do?
