It sounds really racist but its a common problem with SOME of the Asians in the UK to smell of currry to a point where its like they bathe in it. But this is really messed up I would never condone doing this to anyone nevermind small children. I'm surprised she was only suspended I would think this would be cause of complete dismissal.

I always thought that was a racist myth, but I guess if a family cooks the traditional curries all the time, the kids could sweat it out the next day or something.

Yeah, and it was also to do with kids who wet themselves(no wonder) who were told to stand in a corner, and that's a white kid in the acc photo, who was sprayed with air freshener for being 'smelly'. From Baracus' misleading headline, I thought he meant it was a teacher who had targeted Asians exclusively, whereas it was a teacher who was mistreating kids regardless of their race. Although they said she might have said a rasict thing under her breath, that was not proven , probably did though I would guess if she was that sociopathic.
Hopefully she will get her head sorted out, as long as she knows she was messed up, and wants to change, that could happen.

It does sound like a racist myth but in some cases its true. When I was growing up there were only a couple that had this problem but it wasnt all the time and again it was always the same kids.

Yea, it definitely is the case sometimes. Not a myth.

I've been around some that were overpowering. Not universal though, just some people.

It is definitely their house that smells like that. Since the smell is strong to begin with, it stays in the air of their home, and gets onto people's clothes. Everyone's house smells differently and whatever smell is in the air of our homes, that smell attaches probably onto our clothes.

I've been around people who eat a lot of curry, and damn does it smell! I've never tasted it, but after smelling it on people, I won't even try it.

That being said, the teacher was out of line. Room air fresheners may have been a more subtle way to go.

No matter where the little inverted commas where when you read it, Baracus was just trying to stir up some racial stuff with the thread title, giving the impression that the teacher was attacking Asian pupils exclusively. He said that 'you can't make this up,', but you can certainly twist the meaning to try and be contravertial(sic, as i am sick, i can usually spell that , lol). He certainly is one thread starter to look out for, the guy has agendas coming out of his assiendas.

Not trying to be smart, I just read it that way at first and it actually struck me as odd. I took the thread title as quoting the woman who sprayed the air freshener. And honestly, for some strange reason, I though tit meant she was spraying their eyes with air freshener. Total misunderstanding on my part.
