Teen Commits Suicide Live on Web

Before this goes any further, y'all have to understand that the people in this particular section of bb.com are the dumbest, most insensitive, trolls you'll ever see on the internet. So don't bother applying normal human rationale to why nobody did anything sooner.

Pffft.
Ever heard of 4chan?

I don't even know how to describe 4chan, especially /b, toilet of the internet seems too classy for them.

As for the topic, I think it's horrible. I don't think the viewers are so much to blame for doing nothing, since there was no real way to know if it was actually happening or a prank. The fact that many watched assuming it was real, is kind of worrying though. I don't get why someone would want to watch another person die. It's not a movie, it's real life.

Unlike others on the board, I DO feel sorry for him, as well as his family. Most people (dare I say all) commit suicide because of poor mental health. Too many people think that mental health disorders/problems can just be whisked away by thinking more positively or "just pulling yourself up". It's not like that for everyone, some people cannot do it alone, and even have no idea that they are, in fact, sick. It's actually quite sad how little some people know about poor mental health and how it can affect a person.

Hahahaha.
You realize that if they brought back gladiatorial spectacles legally they would sell out each and every ****ing time?
You might like to have a higher opinion of humanity then we collectively deserve, but I promise that the day they start airing live executions you'll probably tune in out of curiosity at least once, and it will be one of the highest rated programs ever.
People are nasty little ****s.

I am quite aware of the appeal, though I don't understand it personally.
I don't think I'm "better" than those who would watch live executions or gladiatorial spectacles (to the death) but I wouldn't "tune in", even out of curiosity.
I'm huge on horror movies, and other fictitious violent imagery (video games, comics etc..) but the real life stuff is very bothersome to me. I've seen some things before, and know that it's something I never want to see again.

It's the same people lol

Oh, lol. Classy crowd.

Hypocrite. :nono:
lol, I really don't get the half-assed violence fetish some people have, and then they get all ******** when it transcends into real life. But I respect that you've been put off by some real life experiences that might of made that more then unsavory, but I'm surprised you aren't put off by the fake depictions as well.

And I'm still pissed off about getting an infraction for a couple of shielded pubes when I see people with avatars from R rated movies.

***** before blood you distorted ***gots.

Realize it? I hope for it.

Haha, well, the internet has pretty much worn me out.
The guy in the wedding dress, having sex with a skinned cow head killed whatever sense of shock I may ever have again. :csad:

I don't really see it as hypocritical, I see it as discerning fantasy and reality.
I know what I'm seeing in fantasy isn't actually happening, no one is actually dieing and no one is actually suffering either directly or indirectly from it. Maybe in the technical sense, or to others that would be considered as hypocritical, I really don't know, but I don't see it that way myself.

You realize that someone is actually dead now, right? There's a huge difference between this and fanstasy violence. This isn't Doomsday killing Superman, this is someone who is real and actually very dead.

So what did people just watch him pass out? Lame.

If you're going to kill yourself on the internet, make it interesting.

My friend is a member at BB.com and texted me about this the night it happened. I had the exact same reaction as you lol

Sure I can tell the difference.
And so what if someone is actually dead right now, by the time it takes me to write this stupid post there probably have been 10,000 preventable deaths that took place.
Violence and death are parts of life, maybe I wouldn't be so jaded to it if our own society wasn't so heavily saturated by depictions of death, fictional and otherwise.

You know how many Japanese horror movies start like this? I hope none of you watched that suicide, because you might start seeing some freaky **** several days later.

Why did you revive this thread?...oh snap!
