MARSHALL COUNTY, Ky. - A warning for pet owners.

Marshall County Commissioner Misti Drew confirmed to Local 6 that she has received credible reports that several high school students are planning to assemble teams to see who can shoot the most dogs and cats in the area.

Drew said that the Marshall County Sheriff's Office and the School Resource Officer are aware of the situation.

She urges pet owners to protect their animals and gun owners to make sure access to their guns is restricted.

Drew said to call law enforcement if you find an animal that has been shot

:csad:*sigh*....

If these people think that's fun they need some time in prison or in an asylum because they should not be out among people or have access to firearms.

In your area? Just in your area?

Ummm....

Absolutely agreed.

Stupidity is like Hydrogen, it is the most common element in the universe.

If you happen to witness any of this kind activity, you should report it. Cruelty to animals is one thing I just can't stand.

If you wanna mercilessly slaughter something, play video games like normal kids.

The pet owners should assemble teams to see who can shoot the most of them.

I think that might not be a bad idea, although murder is an extreme retaliation so maybe stick to pellet guns or bean bag ammo instead.

Well I'm sure Kentucky is one of those Stand Your Ground states so if they come on your property to shoot Fido then someone is going to get put down...

Problem is that teens don't get punished.. One of these morons takes a bullet in front of the others and they might start realizing that actions have consequences. Frickin idiots.

Whatever happened to the good ol' days where if you did something wrong as a kid you'd get your ass whipped?

The problem is that too many people think that getting spanked when you're bad makes you some sort of evil monster so now they refuse to let it be done. That means we have kids growing up thinking that if they get in any trouble that they'll only get a 'time out' or a yelling at, not jail time or that people may beat the **** out of them for these things.

I'm not even surprised at this. Sickened that people can be so cruel to animals that just don't deserve it, but not at all surprised at the depravity of people.

If I had a gun, I'd shoot those ********s myself.

since when have teenagers ever recieved spankings? and i'm pretty sure that the research shows that spanking is ineffectual in discouraging bad behavior. it just teaches aggression.

public shaming might get the point across. teens are very image conscious nowadays. put their faces online in connection to animal cruelty. that'll get the point across.
