Tell me all about the Man Who Laughs.

I live in a ****ty little town with a sorry excuse for a comic shop, but I DO buy trades when I can and I will buy this if and when I see it.

Those auctions make me desperate for a new printing. It's up to $20 with a day and so many hours left still.

I don't think I would ever purchase a comic from a seller on E-Bay. I like to look at the book to make sure the condition of the comic listed on the auction is the truth.

Still, there is a risk of buying a comic at a shop at not getting what you're told.

CConn is god. Made of awesome he is.

I wish people would spend the energy it takes to beg for scans on actually buying it instead.

So...does that mean that you have a copy, O high and mighty?

even if he doesnt, at least he's not begging people to steal it for him :o

I agree with Orko, go with e-bay. If you really want to build a good collection while paying less. I personally got The Man Who Laughs for a $6 buy it now price and it is mint.

6 bucks on a Buy-It-Now? Wow, you got lucky.

Yes, mere mortal, I have a copy. It's good. I like it. I hold it and laugh.

Could someone please tell me why is the novel out of print already if it had sold like hot cakes last year? Is it because they plan to release a new edition of it? I'm so dying to read it

Well, it was released as a one shot in Feb. 2005. Maybe they didn't count on it being a success.

Because, afterall, DC hates Ed Brubaker.

I do not see how they would not think it would be a success when it echoes Joker's first appearance in many ways in the 1930's comic.

I will refer back to my orginal answer to that question:

Maybe DC got drunk at a party and Ed Brubaker felt it up. They don't talk about it, but you can just feel the animosity when they're in the same room.

Now, why would they even let Brubaker write a Batman story in the 1st place if they did hate him?

I don't know about you but that doesn't seem to make sense at all

I got my copy a year ago for about $16. The spine was slightly bent but I was desperate for a copy.

It all really comes down to patience. For anyone wanting a very desirable book like The Man Who Laughs, patience is the key. I notice desirable books just pop up from time to time.

I bought it a long time ago at the Haagse Stripshop.

I agree, just have patience. Not to brag but I just picked up my second copy at a comic show for $5.

Mine cost £6.50, I don't know much is in dollars.

This is a great Joker centered Graphic Novel. It's right up their with "The Killing Joke" .
