Action-Adventure Terminator: Dark Fate

I really enjoyed that trailer. For some reason, the ICE guys trying to tackle the Rev9 was cool. Yeah, I am in for watching it. Not really high expectations, but whatever.

I’m still not sold. The action looks fine but maybe it’s because we’ve so many movies with similar shots, that it feels stale. And why does Sarah automatically hate the T-800 if one actually saved her in T2?

Well, if there were more Terminators that she took out, seems like a safe reaction to have. I personally like it, as I wasn't quite expecting that reaction.

Posters like that are why I hate most movie posters. They couldn't have just put up an image of the iconic T-800 head? Or alternately the Terminator head from the new villain? Or something more like the posters for T1 or T2 featuring just Arnold? :argh:

Am I suppose to care about the girl? I have no idea who she is.

You're expecting the trailer to show you the movie?

I'm expecting something that shows why I should give a **** about a character I've never seen before, other than some generic 'she's the key' type of blandness.

I wonder how big Arnold's role is or well his screen time. Getting the feeling he's only in for like 20 minutes or so

It's tough to gauge, but likely the last half of the movie.

Yeah, I'm guessing a scene in the beginning and/or middle then joins the action in the final showdown

Hmm. A lot better than the first trailer. This actually looks pretty good.

Though I'm still pissed that..

they kill off John Connor in the first ten minutes of the movie

Feels like he's going to have a Miles Dyson sized role or there about.

I'm sure the final trailer will have some backstory briefs or perhaps profile vids released on each character

I don't care that they don't reveal the role of the new girl, but it just looks mediocre. Really weak cinematography, comic booky action, geriatric cyborg, generic as hell trailer with the same BWOOOONG sounds and music that doesn't evoke anything. It puts me to sleep instead of making me want to watch the movie.

Hey, there ain't anything wrong with a comic booky action element! Although yes I prefer the T1 and especially T2 action style

Yeah the action sequences in these later Terminator movies is really starting to just blend together into one big blur. I mean can you really tell the difference between this movie and Genisys? Hell at this point I'd still take the set pieces from Terminator 3 over anything in these newer movies, because at least this franchise still felt somewhat grounded IMO. Nowadays it seems like all these studios care about is making these movies bigger, CGI filled, explosion fests and that makes me really miss the simplicity of the first two movies.
