Terminator: Genisys - Part 3

Hatin' on James Cameron for Terminator y'all must be smoking some weird s***.

No Cameron, no Terminator franchise.

Next we are going to hear that Alan Taylor is a better director than James Cameron. Even lame Avatar/Titanic James Cameron is a world class director.

Seriously. I'm not even sure if Taylor is a GOOD director, let alone better than someone like Cameron.

I think after this film bombs or underperforms, he'll be headed back to TV.

Taylor's there to do as he's told. David Ellison is the one calling the shots. It's his money that's on the line.

You guys gotta admit, Genisys looks xtremely kool.

Oh yea of course the bus flip and terminator divebombing a helicopter sold it for me. It just feels like a terminator movie

I'm not trying to pick on Taylor but I've made no secret of being skeptical of the choice of director. I just don't know if Taylor is an interesting enough director to make a non Cameron Terminator film work.

His direction even in the trailer for TG seems as generic as his direction was in TDW. I can deal with not liking a director but I just don't like or respect generic action directors. If you are going to be a failure be an interesting failure at least.

An OK trailer, young Terminator looks good ( much more accurate than the one in Salvation ).
I'm not sure about the new Kyle, I only saw the actor in Die Hard and he felt very generic ( still does in the trailer ) but Sarah looks the part ( I may be biased because of GoT ).
The face of the new T 1000 felt familiar, imdb confirmed it, he was in GI Joe.

No. But if you like it, that's perfectly fine:woot: I think it looks like a dog turd with some bird droppings on top of it.

Not sure if Travesty was serious, but I think his comment was playing on the silly Genisys title. Hence the whole ''xtremely'' and ''kool''...

Maybe I'm wrong.

You can think this generic looking cashgrab with 1990's level CGI looks fine but I sure don't.

I think what they've shown in the future war looks just like the what we've been wanting to see. "teh lazers" and what not. If there's one thing I really dig about the trailer, it was that. ...and Arnold vs Arnold. :o

I don't think the film looks great, and rewriting the story for the first Terminator film via time travel seems like taking a step backwards to me. I may just be burned out with this franchise, however.

And the terminator dive bombing the helicopter just seems like a stupid concept to me.

How long do you suppose that'll last until CGI Arnold gets his face blown off? :o

Fair enough.

No you're not wrong. I thought it was obvious?

How many times can they tell the same story. At least Salvation seemed like it was doing something new.

looks like it's time for this

That pic really burns the haters asses.

[INTERNET]Yeah but that pic doesn't matter because EVERYONE KNOWS that the Oscars are bullsh** anyway and they only give awards to whoever kisses everybody's ass that year. Everyone who has ever SEEN a movie knows that Titanic is one of the 10 worst movies ever made and didn't hold a candle to Taste of Cherry, the TRUE Best Picture of 1997. But that's Hollywood and stupid mainstream moviegoers for you. They'll flock to see some contrived garbage that exploits a historical tragedy just to have a reason for Leo and Kate to make out, but they won't even bother with watching a true minimalist masterpiece about a man driving around trying to find someone to bury him after he dies. I hate everything. No one can understand the pain I've suffered by enduring a world full of people who would pay money for crap like Titanic. It's not even as good asthe vastly underrated TV version that came out that same year.[/INTERNET]

Looks like cheesy fun. Why not! :woot:
