Terminator: Genisys - Part 9

i think from all things, genisys let down because of the obvious casting error, and that there actually want really a story. it was too predictable and a bit of a mess.
there actually was potential for a story, and that was pops, how did he get there,
who sent him, and how were the more advanced terminators sent there in the first place. the john connor transformer edition was interesting, and some scenes were pretty cool, but it was trying to hard. too much showoff, too little content and suspense.

i think on writing and screenplay, there are too many 'nerds' out there that try to create a nerdgasm story. probably the sense of reality from the board is out of touch, too. they probably were able to say, we NOW have the opportunity to do a back to original terminator movie, which will cause loads of interest, and that enough will bring money on the table.
never seems people asked: but, apart from making a buck from it. will we be able to make a buck AFTER it, and do we satisfy from a bunch of millions, or can we make it better and gain a whopload of money from it AND create a renewed 'cult' from it?

anyway, this movie missed suspense a lot. Terminator 1 was thrilling, till the end.
Terminator 2 was too.

thats why those worked. T3 was a bit predictable, i think the ending of the movie was what actually made that movie something 'worthwile'. or just 'satisfied' the feeling (that judgement day was inevitable).

T4 Salvation more or less worked because it delved into a different storyline. more of a 'survivor' story. And Bale was a guaranteed hit. I do wonder how good a terminator bale would have made.

T5 Genisys was like a cover of a legendary movie. Performed like a 'got talent' participant and their 'crew' made a combo-cover of taking not 1 but 2 music hits and combining them together and somehow think the public would love it, instead of it being poorly written, poorly combined, and above all, the people portraying it actually have no talent, and on top of it all, have the original actor/artist sing one line alongside. it only works on these shows because its fake as shiz even the applaud are fake as shiz.

makes me wonder, how on earth has nobody come up with a better movie in all the past years?

They need to leave this franchise alone, let it die, let it die! Ghostbusters remake flopped, Terminator Geynesis (aka Throwinator Geynesis) flopped, Die Hard 5 flopped etc. they need to leave these franchises alone already and quit milking a dead cow.

Sometimes it's better to kill something than to let it suffer and should leave well enough alone. Terminator by now is like a wounded, half-dead animal and has been for the last 24 years because the only good thing that came out in that time frame for the Franchise was the Universal 3D attraction. The other Terminators were poorly written badly directed junk.

I'm glad it flopped as it's time for Hollywood not to mess with some things of the past as it's not the 80's/early 90's anymore and let them stay in the past onlyfor the first 2 to be cherished/loved by generations an stick to new fresh IPs like John Wick Marvel Studios, Bourne and so on. Jud in Pet Sematary did said "Sometimes dead is better!" and sometimes let sleeping dogs lie.

Hollywood needs to focus on making good films and new franchises, not digging up old favorites and desperately mangling the corpses. The story ended in 1991, that is that.

This.

But i'm telling you the truth it did and Cameron said so that he said the story was over after part 2.

No other Terminator thing exists to me and only 2 Terminator films exist, everything is non canon.

I'm just telling this to Hollywood executives to leave some corpses of dead franchises alone and let them be, come up with new franchises and fresh new IPs.

the only thing that really was entertaining after T2:

I really don't have an issue with doing more with this franchise, but they have to actually do it well. The last three movies have all been inferior, and the last one was just hilariously bad.

One thing I will say for Terminator 3, is that they seemed to at least kind of understand what made the first two work. It was just a rather unnecessary and inferior retread, which brought nothing new to the franchise. But at least the terminator was occasionally menacing, and there was a sense of impending doom, and a constant threat.

Salvation was just a forgettable post-apocalyptic action flick which basically had a terminator cameo. Anton Yelchin's Kyle Reese was wasted in that movie.

Genisys was just a total train wreck. I really don't know where to start. The terminators aren't scary, there's no atmosphere, most of the actors are miscast, phoning it in, or just bad. It's just a bad movie.

Wow. You know it had to be bad. Even leading up to that summer, Fant4stic got way more **** than Terminator so for them to have had jackets made is stunning.

as terrible as F4 the cast seemed like they had a good time not the case with this film apparently
